Very rare. This is the original 1960 Revell issue not the 1990s reissue. It has the beautiful John Steel painting suitable for framing. The 2.39 price extension makes this the Canadian issue. This model contains decals to build any of these sister ships - Los Angeles - Fall River - Baltimore - Pittsburgh - Columbus - Bremerton - Canberra - Toledo - Quincy - Chicago - St. Paul - Macon or Boston. It is molded in the correct glossy gray plastic for this early issue. The kit has never been started. It is factory new inside, with all the parts and all instructions, decals & flag sheet still inside the Revell factory sealed clear bag.

Early 1970s issue of this famous kit in the YMBC release. It is in the original white 'mailer' box with the factory-glued lithograph 'slick' in 'excellent' condition. Features a one-piece full hull, propeller and rudder detail, rotating turrets, separately molded and positionable 5" secondary battery and quad 40mm AA battery, two float planes and catapults, display stand, name plate and decals. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. I have good memories of this model - because of the one piece hull, it floated very well. That and the "good" detail made it an ideal platform for BB gun target practice on my friends lake.

One of the very early British Prop-jet airliners, Heralds carried 56 passengers or 6.5 tons of freight at a range of 1000 miles and a cruising speed of 275 mph. Very rare motorized, large scale model that measures 18 inches long when assembled. Dates from the late 1950s or early 1960s and can be easily converted to R/C with todays modern & small components. Motorizing equipment is complete with battery holder, electric motor, brass contacts, motor mount, metal shaft & drive propeller and switch. The kit is molded in blue and silver plastic, while the motorizing parts are molded in white. The kit has never been started. The silver parts are still in the factory sealed bag. All other parts have been inventoried complete. Includes decals, color flag sheet and both sets of instructions (standard and supplemental for motorizing). The actual US Navy WWI Submarine chaser was a 110 foot wooden vessel. The ships carried a crew of 25 and were armed with a 3 lb deck gun and a "Y" gun for discharging depth charges. The ships proved valuable in combating the German U-boats in the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Some were updated and saw service in WWII.

Rare kit of the 1950s French VTOL aircraft. The Coleoptere (meaning 'Annular Wing') was designed much as the American Pogo aircraft; however, the Coleoptere was exclusively jet powered. Some test flights took place on a tether, but the aircraft was destroyed while performing a free-flight transition from vertical to horizontal. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note that this kit must be shipped double boxed and insured.

Rare, first issue artwork from about 1955. This was a fine effort by Aurora for that time and an impressive model when assembled. Features retracting pontoons and rotating props. Includes correct early logo instructions which show the clear 'Triangle World' stand and the correct stand is included. This must be one of the first instances of the 'Triangle' stand being used as it is normally associated with oval 'Famous Fighter' logo kits. Molded in gloss silver and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box has great color and gloss and would grade at least 'good' but it has two small factory tape tears on each long side. This model was made after Aurora found out that the scale on the box top was wrong and was factory 'blotted out' with a black circle at the top left.

Very rare. In 1977 Bandai briefly issued four 'demonstration kits' to test the market. They were this Mercedes Benz L3000S, German Goliath Demolition Vehicle, Mercedes Benz L3000A House Truck and NSU Kettenrad Motorcycle. Features detailed motor, removable hood, detailed chassis with separately molded exhaust, two bar, front and rear suspension and driveline, excellent cab interior detail, two styles of troop seating configuration for the bed, optional 'soft' top for the bed and more. After this very brief availability, Bandai never reissued them again. Never started. This kit and the paperwork is still in the factory sealed bag. I have listed this kit under Bandai; however, there is no manufacture listed on anything that I can see in the bag. At one point Academy obtained many Bandai molds and reissued several of the famous 1/48 Pin Point armor issue, using original Bandai artwork. Although I cannot tell, this may be one of the Academy kits. I cannot tell if there are decals or not because the paperwork is sealed. If it is the Academy issue, it will not have them as they did not issue decals with this kit; however, they would put four paper license plates to cut from the instructions if you wish.

Revell American Firefighters Hose Reel - With Horses and Firemen, 1/48, F202-98

First Revell issue dated 1953. Features two highly detailed horses, hitch, carriage with frame detail, flexible hose, rope and metal chain, along with two firefighters and a Dalmatian dog. Molded in the correct white, red and gold plastic. It has never been started and has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. The American Firefighters series has a very interesting history. Marlin first cut the molds in 1952 and issued the six original American Firefighters (Chemical and Ladder, Steamer, Hook and Ladder, Water Tower, Aerial Ladder and Hose Reel) in 1952. Revell signed a marketing agreement with Marlin in 1953. Five of the kit were released with the Revell name and marketing name 'Collectors Kits, Closter N.J.' Revell added the horse parts as they were not originally part of the Marlin issues. The kits made excellent display pieces, but they never caught the imagination of young men like jet aircraft did. The five molds were shipped to Brazil. After run for Kikoler (Revell Brazil's Distributor), they were shipped back to the USA but the molds were lost at sea. This issue is from when Revell still had the marketing agreement, as it says 'Trade Mark Copyright 1953 Marlin Toy Co. Inc' on the box top and 'Collector's Kits, Inc, Closter, N.J.' on the side.

Features 'Superform' balsa shell that is perfectly formed to the exact shape of the fuselage. There are no blocks to carve and no planking required. Includes Jig-Time construction, precision die-cut grade A balsa wood, tapered leading edges, die-cut plywood formers, ribs, spar braces and other parts where additional strength is required, completely formed landing gear, clear, fully formed plastic canopy, rubber wheels, hardwood engine mounts, top grade silk-span, complete set of fuel-proof decals, full hardware (45 parts) and full size detailed plans with step-by-step instructions. Well molded kit features basic cockpit & crew of two, separately molded radial engine, complete landing gear, separately molded ailerons, rudder & elevators and more Never started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Box art is by the famous Jo Kotula who did 1930s covers for the magazine 'Model Airplane News' and later the Aurora box art of the late 1950s. Air Lines kits are all Frog molds that the Lines Brothers imported to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. There are one or two trading cards on each box which show the boxart but not the advertising/logo. Some kits contain a Testors color painting guide also, but it is not specific to any model.
