1969 Jet Commando issue. This is a reissue (probably the last) of the original 'S' kit from the 1950s. Makes a perfect 'Classic Build' model. Features optional position landing gear and wing tips, VF-11 markings and four AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please NOTE there is bug damage to the decal backing paper, but the actual transfers have no bug damage. The box has corner damage in the lower right and a 2" x .75" section missing on the upper long side.

1954 issue of this classic kit. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear and with the famous clear 'Revelving Swivel Base.' The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. NOTE: the box would grade higher than 'excellent' but there is a very, very light stain below the front of the aircraft. It is difficult to see. This kit has an interesting history. The first issue came out in the 'short' hardbox that had the full version of this artwork with a port and ocean scene in the background. The first version also had the one-piece stand arm and the instructions that reflected that. The second issue had the same artwork, but with a completely different background that gave better contrast. There may be a 'one-piece' stand arm version in this revised artwork, but I have yet to see one.

Rare. 1961 issue in the Whip Fly 'Master Modeler' series. Does include the Master Modeler Trading Stamp (for the Competition Corvette) and MM application form. This series was quickly discontinued when it discovered that heavily weighted models with pointed front ends swinging at terrific speeds around young children might not be safe. Based on the 1950s F-106 "S" kit, the Delta Dart Whip Fly comes with USAF decals, flight ballast, handle, 12 feet of control line, control ring, colorful streamers (cut from the colored bag according to the instructions) for the jet engines and a underside pod which is a in-flight whistle! Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Still factory tape sealed. Rare. Nicely detailed, limited-run resin kit. The Ar.TEW.16/43-23 is unique to me because it looks like it is composed of common parts of many other more common aircraft; however, that is not true and it was an all new design. This fighter dates from 1943, and was to be of an all-metal construction. It featured swept-back wings, and two He S 011 turbojets were mounted beneath the wings. The fuselage contained three fuel tanks which were located behind the cockpit. The main landing gear rotated 90 degrees before being retracted forwards into the wing. As per the Ar TEW 16/43-13, a spherical tire was chosen for the front landing gear. The armament consisted of a single MG 151/15 15mm machine gun and two MG 213/20 20mm cannon, all located in the nose beneath the cockpit. This aircraft did not get out of the preliminary design phase; instead, design and production was concentrated on the Ar 234.

From wickiland.com: Alexander Lippisch was noted for designing tailless aircraft, with a certain amount of success. Along similar lines as the rocket-powered Me 163, Lippisch designed a tailless fighter to be powered by a Heinkel turbojet. The slow pace of development of reliable turbojets forced Lippisch to redesign the aircraft to be powered by a single Daimler-Benz DB 605 inverted V-12 piston engine, mounted in the nose and driving a pusher propeller at the rear of the fuselage pod, via an extension shaft. The mid-mounted wings would have been swept back 23.4 degrees, housing the skinny retractable main landing gear with elevons inboard and ailerons outboard on the trailing edge. Slots in the outboard leading edges would have improved slow speed performance and handling. The intended armament of two 13 mm MG 131 machine guns was to have been housed in the wing roots. Designated Me 334 by the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM), development was abandoned by Lippisch with the advent of the Lippisch P.20.

This history is from military-history.fandom.com: The SNCASE SE 100 was a French two-seat, twin-engined fighter which first flew in 1939. Mass production was planned to begin late in 1940 but the Fall of France prevented this. The origins of the SE.100 predate the creation of the SNCASE (Sud-Est) company in the nationalisations of 1937. It was designed by Pierre Mercier and Jacques Lecarme at Lioré et Olivier, initially designed the LeO 50. Underpowered by two Gnome-Rhône 14M engines, the design was recast to use the more powerful Gnome-Rhône 14N-20 and -21 engines, the same used in the Lioré et Olivier LeO 451 bomber, and renamed the SE.100. The aircraft was of conventional all-metal construction, mid-wing layout. As with most French twin-engined aircraft of the era, the engines were counter-rotating with one propeller rotating clockwise and the other counter-clockwise (to minimize torque). The aircraft had a twin tail. In production models it was planned to redesign the wing to use components from the LeO 451 wing to ease production. The fuselage was short in appearance, with a long nose and a very short tail, the cockpit being connected to the gunner's position aft by a windowed corridor. The undercarriage was of the nosewheel type, rarely used in French aircraft of the 1930s, with the aft wheels were fitted right aft, retracting into the tail rather than the wings or engine nacelles as was conventional. The aircraft was fitted with four Hispano-Suiza HS.404 20 mm cannon in the nose and one in the gunner's post. The first prototype of the SE.100 flew on 29 March 1939 at Argenteuil and a number of necessary changes were identified during the tests. It was destroyed in a crash on 5 April 1940. The aircraft proved to be around 100 km/h faster than the Potez 631, the French Air Force's current twin-engined fighter, and production was authorized. While the tests were proceeding, a second prototype, incorporating the changes, the most obvious of which was the suppression of the windowed corridor in the fuselage and its replacement by additional fuel tanks, was being built. The armament was increased to six cannon in the nose, two in the gunner's post and one additional cannon in the floor of the gunner's post. As the second prototype was being built, the Citroen company was preparing to mass produce the aircraft at their Paris works, deliveries planned to begin late in 1940. At least two paper variants were studied, the SE.101 powered by Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp engines, and the SE.102 powered by a different version of the Gnome-Rhone 14N. The SE.500 and SE-800were to have been a 12 passenger transport and four-engined transport, respectively, derived from the SE-100.

From tanks-encyclopedia.com: The Type 1 Ho-Ha half-track was an armored personnel transport designed and introduced by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1941 and finally put into production in 1944. Its main purpose was to help the modernization of the Imperial Japanese Army by increasing the number of mechanized infantry regiments. This way, Japanese ground forces would catch up with other developed nations of the time that had already invested in this field, specifically the US. Mechanized infantry, unlike regular units, would have been faster and would have had an easier time dealing with the rough terrain that was more and more often encountered by the Japanese as the war progressed in China and in the hilly or mountainous landscape of the Pacific islands.

From tanks-encylopedia.com: The Type 97 Chi-Ha's successor - Type 4 Chi-To.Among the various medium tank designs developed in 1944, the Chi-To was probably the most promising. The development started while the Type 97 Chi-Ha Kai was still in production in 1943. The specifications were simple, requiring 75 mm (2.95 in) of armor and a high velocity 75 mm (2.95 in) gun. It was intended to be used against the most current Allied tank of the time, the M4 Sherman. The Type 4 Chi-To plans were ready in early 1944, but production was delayed due to steel shortages, mostly reserved to the Imperial Navy. Allied bombings and US submarine tactics also played their role in these shortages. Eventually, only two were built, a prototype and a pre-production vehicle, tested in 1944. Mitsubishi planned an optimistic 25 tank delivery rate per month, which was never realized. In the fall of 1944, it was decided to keep these tanks for the defense of the Japanese home islands. It is not known if the pre-production tank ever reached full operational status. Nonetheless, if the war took another course and the Olympic Operation would have been carried out, the Type 4 Chi-To would have been a formidable opponent, equal to the late variants of the Sherman. It was the most advanced Japanese tank to reach pre-operational level during WWII.
