NOTE: very good builder kit only but not collectible; please read carefully for the condition. Hard to find kit with fantastic Cold War Box art. KVZ was the logo used by this East German kit manufacturer from 1969 to 1973. During this time, some unique Cold War kits were produced of Russian Airliners and Military Helicopters and Aircraft. NOTE: The box art is Interflug, but the kit decals are for Aeroflot only. Never started. Inventoried and complete with parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: a tube of factory glue has leaked as follows: glue on the inside of an engine nacelle half, a 1/4" x 1/8" spot on one wing half and the same on another wing half, 1/8" spot on the outside of an engine nacelle half, the tail skid is encased in glue and is included but will need to be reproduced (which is simple in this case) and one wheel has glue on one edge. The decals are flat and intact and the transfers are clean, but the backing paper has the typical 'slightly dark' aged look of many of the old KVZ sheets.

Ex-Soviet Union kit that is very well molded for that time with very fine detail and hull drain holes. Full hull model measures 7.5 inches long when assembled and includes display stand and decals. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags, which is attached to cardstock that is folded in two. At times the factory workers had to get pretty creative because of a shortage of staples. Beyond staples, I have seen the bag of parts attached with a clothing snap, a rivet or even sewn on with thread!

Hardbox first issue dated 1965 that is in rare, investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. This well-molded kit can make any of the 6 versions listed and also includes paint guide and decals for all variants. Rare 1960s issue retaining the same artwork as the 1956 issue. The hardbox is in amazing 'Excellent++' condition which is rare. This kit has arguably the most dramatic and fanciful B-29 artwork from the 'Golden Era' of modeling. Never started. Inventoried an the actual aircraft is complete with the decals and instructions but NOTE: missing the display stand. Responding to market information that boys wanted larger kits, Aurora introduced the B-26 followed by the B-29 and B-25, all of which sold well for many years. This is likely the 4th issue. I believe the 3rd issue is almost identical but has "Famous Fighters" in the oval logo. That would date this kit as 1963 and up till the 'Big A' box issue. Note the square 'Northern Lights' logo has been replaced with the Aurora sunburst oval logo.

Very rare model from 1991 and the only 1/32 Jungmeister model ever made. It is cast in high definition resin and features a good cockpit, detailed engine with separately molded exhaust assembly and more. Includes a very large and colorful decal sheet with all red checkerboards, stripes and registration numbers. The decal sheet in is 'near mint' condition. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. This model is dedicated in memory of Mr. Beverley Howard, one of the pioneers of acrobatic flying. He thrilled many people around the glove in his little red and white Jungmeister. His showmanship was exciting to observe and John Marco saw him fly in 1964. Mr. Howard's exact Jungmesiter was manufactured in Germany in 1936 and brought over on the Hindenburg by the late Capt. Alex Papana, 'The Famed Romanian Acrobatic Pilot' who exhibited it in the 1936 National Air Races in Los Angles and several other events. Col. Mike Murphy, International Acrobatic Champion for several years, purchased the plane in 1940 and flew it in all major USA meets and competition until retiring. Beverly Howard purchased this plane from Col. Murphy in 1946 and has flow it in all major meets since that time including events in France and Germany in 1950. When this aircraft bio was written in the early 90s, the Smithsonian Air Museum planed on exhibiting this very historic aircraft when it was retired.
