Testors B-66B Destroyer (A-3A), 1/72, 677

Contains a large, colorful decal sheet for two USAF aircraft - RB-66B 42nd TRW-England 1960 and RB-66B 19th TRW-England 1958. Very nicely detailed kit features complete flight deck with seats and consoles for three crew members, twin 20mm cannon and optional position landing gear. This kit represents the early B-66 which is not that far removed externally from the original Navy A-3 Bomber and still retains the tail stinger. NOTE: this kit has minor and neat assembly. The cockpit instruments and bulkheads have been glued to the floor. Quality of assembly is 'excellent.' There is no other assembly. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

First issue in a hardbox dated 1965 with very colorful box art. Large 25.5 inch long classic kit with motorized propeller drive, automatically rotating main turrets with elevating main guns, and can be programmed for straight, figure eight or circle sailing patterns. Includes electric motor and hardware. One of the nice things about this model is that it all works very nicely. NOTE: this kit has minor, neat assembly. The two bow halves have been glued to the hull ("professional" quality) and the hull has been airbrushed red below the waterline ("excellent" quality). There is no other assembly or painting. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts.

Rare 1/48 Hughes 500 ASW version. Very nicely molded with fine raised and recessed panel lines, complete cockpit and cabin, smoke markers, MAD and torpedo, separately molded cabin door and more. Includes decals for Taiwan and the Hughes Paris Air Show demo ship. Also includes a painting guide for the Kenya Army and California Highway Patrol (CHiP). The kit has never been started. For KVZ, this is a very nicely molded and detailed kit with recessed and raised detail, full clear parts for the windows and a large and colorful decal sheet including the side striping. Still factory sealed. 1970s Life-Like issue using the original 1966 Pyro molds. At this point, Life-Like was no longer putting 'Licensed by Pyro Plastics' on the box sides. Features detailed chassis, complete motor and interior and a removable hood. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to.

Still factory sealed. 1991 issue of perhaps the finest 1/24 scale kit of the first legendary Corvette. Kit is very finely molded in chrome, clear, white, red and rubber rires. Features full rolling chassis with complete suspension and exhaust detail, "Blue Flame" 6 motors for 1953 and 1954, detailed interior, opening hood and optional soft convertible top.

MPM Yokosuka E14Y1 Glen Submarine Floatplane - From I-25 and I-7 Fleet Subs, 1/72, 72111

Limited release kit. Has fine, recessed panel lines, film instruments and many brass photoetched parts. 125 Glen submarine-based seaplanes were built between 1941 and 1943, when they were replaced by the Aichi M6A1 Seiran. The first operational Glen mission was on December 17, 1941 when I-7 launched her aircraft for a dawn reconnaissance over Pearl Harbor to assess the damage done in the December 7th attack. In September of 1942, Warrant Officer Fujita took off in his Glen from I-25 and became the only aircraft to ever bomb the continental United States when he dropped phosphorus bombs in two attacks on the Oregon coast. Decals for both of these aircraft are included. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Second issue hardbox dated 1957. Finely molded and detailed kit with superior fit. Features retracting landing gear, rotating wheels and props, three man crew, optional position rear cabin door and two survivors in life rafts. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: there is a small hole in the instructions and decals are intact but have age cracking. Please see the article (on this website) about using and restoring old decals before using these or any older decals. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam.
