Still factory sealed 1968 first issue hardbox. This is a very high quality model of the classic Aristocrat of all American Built Cars. The SJ was powered by a supercharged 320 straight 8. The power plant muscled the 153.5 inch long chassis from 1-100 mph in 17 seconds and could top 104 mph in second gear. This kit features a highly detailed rolling chassis with suspension and driveline, complete engine, removable hood, full interior detail and more. Molded in black, clear, chrome, rubber and white.

The actual model is the hard-to-find issue from 2011. It has 161 pieces and includes both X-15 (with optional external tanks) and B-52B kits and special parts to convert the B-52 to a carrier aircraft. Never started. This model is among my favorites and a joy to build because it has great fit and finish, highly detailed and looks fantastic when completed. Aurora 1931 Miller Special 1931 Indianapolis 500 Winner - (ex Best), 1/30, 523-69

Very rare model from 1958 in an 'excellent+' condition box. This model is from Best molds. Aurora purchased these molds just for the Indianapolis 500 Winners and released only one issue. The kit is molded in white plastic with real rubber tires, a driver figures, some interior detail and very nice decals. It has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions; even includes the factory tissue packing paper. Louis Schneider and 'Jigger Johnson' (driver and mechanic) drove the Bowes Seal Special to victory in 1931. The Miller Special had rear wheel drive, and eight cylinder 151.7 CID Miller engine and won the day averages 96.629 miles per hour. The track was dangerously unsafe that year due to a heavy drizzle that made driving over 80 mph dangerous - at one point, drivers were required to slow down to 80 mph and passing was not allowed other than the pit area. There were many spectacular accidents but the rain did relent and there were many speeds over 100 mph in the later part.
