From them, the Russians eventually build some aircraft and modified them till it was the Mig-15 while the Americans relied more on Messerschmitt plans for the basis of the F-86 Sabre Jet.

Still factory sealed and from 1979. When Monogram bought the Aurora molds in the mid 1970s, they only reissued the kits that were the most accurate. Since Aurora had reworked the molds on the SE5 and greatly improved the kit, it was one that was chosen. Monogram made additional improvements to the molds and expanded the decal sheet, so this builds into a very nice model.
