Very Rare limited issue hardbox dated 1965. Issued as a promotion with the famous TV show "12 O'Clock High," which centered on the exploits of USAAF B-17s flying over Hitler's Germany. Molded in black and clear plastic, with the clear triangle-based stand. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note that the decals are in amazing 'excellent++' condition. They are almost fully flat and have almost no age yellowing. Instructions are 'excellent' and have very light wear and the typical age yellowing. The instructions are in remarkable 'near mint' condition. Amazingly, the decal sheet has swastikas. This is unusual because they were removed from the decal artwork may years before this. Other kits in this rare series include the B-17 Bomber Formation (3 kits with a special 'bombing' stand and battle-damaged decals), P-38 Lighting, ME-109 (Bf-109), P-51, B-26, B-25 and Fw-190.

Still factory sealed. This Profile Series model is from the 1970s and contains markings & painting guide for all three versions shown. The Profile Series was part of a model kit marketing program by MPC/General Mills in the early to mid 1970s. The kit inside is from quality Airfix molds, but the instructions, decals and box is MPC. This series likely seemed like an ideal follow-on for the previous MPC-Airfix joint venture, which was the 1960s 'Craftmaster' line which is well known today for the dramatic and colorful box artwork.

While the Wehrmacht was famous for it's mobilization, it is critical to remember that much of this WWII army still moved by horse and wagon. This was especially true on the Russian Front, where horses were often found serving along side more modern forms of transportation. The 'Old Cart' always did good service, often better than the motor vehicles. The kit features a detailed wagon, two crew, red cross decals, two horses and a fair amount of cargo and accessories such as wooden crates, drums, etc. Never started. Still factory sealed. Dated 1989. Another older but excellent kit from original 1967 molds. The Hawk P-36A has the dubious distinction of fighting on both sides and for more countries than any other plane in history during the opening years of WWII. This Hawk, one in a long progression of famous fighter aircraft, was the winner of a 1935 competition. The USAA Corps received the first aircraft in April of 1938 and the French ordered 100 aircraft in May of the same year. French Hawks shot down just over 30 German planes during the battle for France. The Germans captured the aircraft and sold them to Finland. Others were captured when the Germans overran Norway. In all over 800 Hawks were produced and served in China, Netherlands East Indies, Portugal, Great Britain, Thailand, Argentina and Peru. Although an excellent fighter in 1935, the Hawk was outclassed by the time the war started but when flown properly still gave a good account of itself.
