$29
1972 hardbox issue which features a special terrain display base, 'good' cockpit detail, two Lewis machine guns, twin Liberty 12 engines, pilot, two gunners and 2 mechanic figures, painting guide and rigging guide. NOTE: this kit has very minor and 'excellent' quality subassembly as follows: both engines built. There is no other assembly. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one piece: small, flat windscreen. I have included thick clear styrene as this is very simple to make. Otherwise includes all other parts and decals and instructions both in 'near mint' condition.

This is the hard-to-find third issue of this kit. It retains the original 1956 box art, but the square Aurora 'Northern Lights' logo is gone, replace by the famous sunburst 'Famous Fighters' oval. The price extension is 79 cents. The second issue is identical except for a 69 cent extension. Molded in the correct dark green & black plastic and includes the 'ground chocks' display base with a mechanic figure. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Good

Dated 1960 but actually from about 1963 because there is no 'Famous Fighters' in the border of the oval logo. This was a good kit for the time, featuring 'good' cockpit detail, pilot and student figures, rotating propeller and USAF decals. Molded in silver and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: one small part (a gear door) is yellow and not silver. It is from another issue of this same kit.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG

Very rare 1958 issue. This highly detailed model includes wagon with detailed chassis, hitch & brakes, accessories & tools, display base, two Longhorn Oxen, horse, rider and two figures. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions. This kit has an interesting history. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lew Glaser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also. However, Adams broke the relationship with Revell in the later 1950s and began making kits under the Adams name with the original molds.

Very rare and long out of production. This is one of only 2000 every made. Century Wings were made in Japam and they are among the finest factory-built and painted 1/72 die-cast model aircraft ever available; their famous F-14 Tomcat series is no exception. The box is intact and in 'good++' condition with light, even shelf wear as the only significant flaw. Inside, the model and parts have never been removed from the plastic holders and is in mint condition. Includes all parts. I do not see any paperwork.
Resin Model Kit, Box Condition: Good++

There are two complete clear vacuform canopies that are still in 'mint' condition and perfectly clear (not yellowed). Includes detailed painting guide, and two excellent decal sheets for seven different aircraft. The metal parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the resin parts have been inventoried complete. With decals and instructions.

Ross Abare issue Gotha in amazing investment-grade, 'Near Mint' condition. Mr. Abare, a rare kits dealer in the earliest days of the hobby, contracted with Aurora to produce a copy of the original 1958 kit. However, Aurora had the printers use the mid 1960s oval logo without the 'Famous Fighters' in the border- thus forever separating the Abare issue from the original issue. Mr. Abare was reportedly quite upset, as he wanted exact copies. Molded in deep burgundy and black plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
