The Gamma was designed by John Northrop and was considered very advanced in 1933. The airplane was an instant success. Texaco took delivery of the first one and set numerous cross-country speed records, in addition to being a crowd favorite at air shows. Dr. Lincoln Ellsworth used a Gamma in 1935 for a successful Trans-Antarctic Flight in the 'Polar Star'. This aircraft now rests in the Smithsonian. Gammas were also flown by Howard Hughes and Jacqueline Cochran. The model is very nicely molded and detailed and can build one of two versions of the Sky Chief (Phase I or III) or one of two versions of the Polar Star (Phase I or II)and includes all optional parts required to do so including two different engines, cowlings, nose sections, two and three blade propellers, canopies, one and two seat cockpits and tail wheels as required. Includes an extensive Micro-Scale color decal sheet for two versions each of the Polar Star and Sky Chief. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Large parasol design for sport or competition free flight. Features all die-cut balsa sheet wood and die-cut plywood parts, fully formed training edges, hardware, hinge material, covering tissue, decals and full plans/instructions. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete. Please NOTE there is light bug damage to the instructions but nothing serious. There is bug damage to the decal backing paper only (not the transfers). Carl Goldberg was a gifted designer of model aircraft, and his career spanned the evolution of flying models. His designs and number of titles won in competition at the Nationals is legendary. His first competition was the 1928 Nationals, where he received honorable mention. By 1934 he won the indoor Nats and in 1935 he opened a Hobby Shop, among the first in the nation (the first one was probably opened by Cleveland Models Ed Packard). Awards came quickly. He wrote articles for Model Airplane News, and was Comet's top designer from 1939 till 1945. After Comet, he worked with Mike Schlesinger and Sid Axelrod on what eventually became Top-Flite Models. In 1955 he founded Carl Goldberg Models and released a still-popular line of scale, rubber, gas, glider and RC models. Needless to say, Goldberg's models are of the highest quality.

Still factory sealed. From ex-ITC molds dating from about 1959/1960. Stirring Jack Leynnwood box art shows the ship at Santiago de Cuba in 1898 with the 13" guns blazing at the Spanish fleet. Large scale older kit that was detailed for that time. Includes decals for all three early battleships. The USS Oregon had a famous career in the Spanish American War. She was made a museum ship but was lost when the people of Oregon offered her back for service to the US Navy.
