Dated 1965. This full hull kit features very good detail, pre-molded ratlines, detailed deck, billowing sails and more. Includes display stand. Measures 8.5 inches inches long when assembled. Molded in dark wood brown and off-white. A photo of the built kit on the instructions serves as a standing rigging diagram. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. This is one of the 'intermediate' line of Pyro ship kits, which at the time were Pyro called '$1.00 Models' (later $1.25). All were roughly the same size and were a significant increase in detail from the '50 Cent Models'. Kits in the $1.00 line included the Skipjack, Racing Yawl, Persian Gulf Trader, Burma River Pirate, Polynesian Outrigger Canoe, Cutty Sark, Charles W. Morgan, HMS Bounty and HMS Ark Royal. 50 Cent kits in 1965 included the Mayflower, Barbary Pirate, USS Constitution, Santa Maria, Golden Hind, Half Moon, Bon Homme Richard, War Brig, HMS Victory and Flying Cloud.

Rare, large-format box issue with numerous photos of ships in this class. This model is from ITC Ideal molds dating from the late 1950s/early 1960s and is well detailed model for that time. Features full hull with complete deck fittings and display stand. Never started. The parts that were factory sealed (the small parts trees) are still factory sealed; the parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. The striking Jack Leynnwood box art shows SCs under a threatening sky attacking a submerged U-boat in defense of a convoy. SC96 served in the Mediterranean theater during WW I where US subchasers were considered an important deterrent to Central Power submarine activity.

It features all parts required for the stock hardtop , stock convertible or two Darryl Starbird customs - one hardtop and the other a futuristic bubble-top. The kit is from high-quality molds with 161 parts. All 4 variants feature a detailed engine, engine compartment, underside with suspension, exhaust and drive line, full interior, opening doors and hood. The first custom is a mild hardtop custom with unique grill insert, interior touches, gauges and decals. The full custom is a fascinating design with large clear bubbles for the roof, unique front grill and bumper, unique rear bumper, wild decals and more. Molded in chrome, high gloss red, gloss black, white, clear and with rubber tires. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. The I-19 is famous for firing history's most successful torpedo spread off Guadalcanal. On September 14, 1942, the I-19 was patrolling of the Solomons when she fired a 6 torpedo spread. Three hit and sank the US Carrier CV-7 WASP, and the remaining three exploded against the BB North Carolina and the destroyer O'Brien. The destroyer sank and the North Carolina had to be repaired at Pearl till November 16, 1942. The I-19's Glen seaplane also flew night reconnaissance on February 23, 1942 over Pearl Harbor for the planned second attack by Emily flying boats on that base. This is the 1969 hardbox issue with the 'Big A' logo. This large scale and well detailed kit is almost 16 inches long when assembled. It is from Aurora's efforts of the late 1960s/early 1970s to make better models. Aurora knew that the 1950s kits were outclassed by the mid 60s and cut a new series of molds including several ships, helos and subs. The result was very good mold quality and detail. Includes large display stand molded in wood brown, decals, periscope and cranes, detailed Glen Seaplane, conning tower and deck guns. The kit has never been started. Like all of the 1/600 scale Airfix Ocean Liners, this one is well detailed and cleanly molded. Features full hull, propeller and rudder, all fittings and excellent superstructure details. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The famous Queen Elizabeth was the largest liner in the world when launched in 1938. She saw extensive service during WWII as a troop transport. After the war, she and the original Queen Mary formed the backbone of Cunard Atlantic Service in unparalleled luxury. Some customers favored the Queen Elizabeth for her modern lines and more modern interior fittings. Here service life was suppose to end as a static display on the opposite US shore as the Queen Mary, but buyers never materialized. While serving as a 'College Ship' she burned in Hong Kong Harbor where she was scrapped, but only after appearing in a James Bond film as a MI-6 hide-out.
