Likely from the 1940s. This is a solid wood model with an 8 inch wingspan. Features 2D cut fuselage block, quality printwood wings, die-cut horizontal and vertical stabilizer, die-cut propeller, fully formed wheels, wood stock, color insignia sheet and very nice full size plans with templates, text instructions and even the color scheme. Complete and never started.

Miniature Ship Models Inc. was based in Perkasie, PA and founded in 1927. They had an extensive line of ship and boat models in wood with metal fittings.

Rogers Motor Company LCI Landing Craft Infantry, 1/135, 196

Rare, highly pre-fabricated kit from 1946. Very high quality wood and metal scale LST measuring 14 inches long when assembled; the given 1/135 scale is approximate. Features a completely pre-carved hardwood hull, wooden hardwood superstructure parts that are completely cut and shaped, preformed gun tubs, details such as anchors, guns, vents, lockers, ammo boxes, rudder, propellers, life rafts, bow ramps and much more that are all made from metal, wood, heavy embossed bristol board and other materials as well. Includes full size plans with detailed parts list and instructions. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, internal cardboard presentation material and large, detailed instructions with plans. Rogers was an early producer of miniature gas engines for free-flight and early radio control model kits and often had large adds for these engines in hobby magazines. The full company name on the box is listed as 'Rogers Motor Company Detroit Michigan' and the 'Scale Model Division' is listed as Tawas City, Michigan. Right near the end of WWII, Rogers made a very short journey into kit manufacturing. As you would expect from an engine manufacture, the kits were all highly prefabricated, had excellent detail and were fairly complicated. Rogers produced at least four kits - the M4 Sherman Tank, 40MM AA Gun and Carriage (1/16 scale), Army Weasel and LST. These kits were likely produced in that order, with the LST being released around late 1945/early 1946. I have seen several of these kits built and they make excellent displays.

Includes Microscale #48-197 F-4 C/D 555 TFS/432 TRW, 555 TFS/8 TWF and 58 TFW mint and never used; also #48-0033 US Navy F-4 Phantom USS Midway VF-151 and VF-161, mint and never used and another Microscale 1/48 Phantom sheet with markings for Steve Ritchie on his first and 5th kills, Robin Olds out of Ubon Thailand and Brig. General Fred A Haeffner Luke AFB March 1977. This sheet is missing one of 9 stars and bars - otherwise it is perfect and complete with the paint and marking guide. The actual kit is from 1990. Large and nicely detailed with a photoetched fret, full cockpit interior, optional position canopy, Sidewinder and Sparrow missiles, drop tanks, ECM pods and sitting and standing pilot figures. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

1981 issue with desirable full color poster. Very large 1/72 scale kit. Well detailed. Has fine, engraved tile detail. Has decals for all four shuttles. Includes full cockpit, Space Lab Module and airlock, ESA Experiment Module with Telescope, Articulated arm, opening/closing bay doors and two position landing gear. Includes crew members. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bags including decals and instructions.

Revell Bell P-39 Airacobra 'S' Kit, 1/45, H222-89

1955 'S' issue. Very nice kit for that time in near 1/48 scale. Features very fine recessed and raised panel lines, detailed pilot figure and optional position cockpit door and a belly drop tank. Molded in beautiful high-gloss olive drab and clear with the Revell 'Globe' stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes 'excellent' condition decals and instructions. NOTE: the prop is broke but an easy fix. Richard Kishady did the famous painting for this kit and originally included German kill markings on the nose of the P-39. Very shortly after this, Revell began to export kits to Europe and many European countries had banned the swastika - so the box art was changed to Japanese kill markings, which is this issue.

1956 'S' issue with the fantastic box art that these kits were famous for. The box is in 'excellent-' condition. Color and gloss are like new and all four corners are solid. Has remains of small pieces of clear tape on the long sides and moderate edge wear. Instructions are near mint; decals are stunning with only a slight yellow tint. The model has not been started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Second issue from 1957. The original issue Jim Cox box artwork was retained and you can clearly see where the 1956 Northern Lights rectangular logo was positioned and is replaced by the yellow rectangle with the new Sunburst Famous Fighters logo. Earlier in the 1950s a company called 'Helicopters for Industry' created a line of large, early kits. In 1956 Aurora bought the molds and quickly reissued these models with new box artwork. Large kit features cockpit with instrument panel, control sticks and seats, spinning rotors and 'Army Mule' decals. Molded in the correct gloss olive drab and clear plastic. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora United States Air Force Pilot (Steve Canyon), 1/8, 409-98

Rare kit in fantastic 'Near Mint-' condition. The color and gloss is as new, all four corners are solid, there is no tape or tags and no marks from any older tape or tags. There is no fading or litho loss; the only flaw is light edge wear at the top as shown. This kit was also issued as 'Steve Canyon' Air Force Pilot. Very desirable large-scale model with 'Famous Fighters' sunburst logo. Dated 1958 but likely from '59 or 60. If you look closely, the artwork is the first issue F8U Crusader with the Air Force pilot placed in the foreground. Well detailed large 1/8 scale kit includes all pilot equipment and display base. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Please note that decals did not come with this issue.

Long after manufacturers turned to plastic ready-to-run rolling stock, Quality Craft continued to produce high quality models you could build. Headquartered in Northumberland, PA, they gave the craftsman an opportunity to build a state-of-art kit and show their skill.

Very near 1/48 scale kit. As with most Comet kits, this one is very nicely molded with all recessed panel detail and no unsightly rivets. Features retractable sonar dome and MAD boom, extensive clear windows, wing search light with clear cover, rocket under-wing load out, rotating props and display stand. The kit has never been started. The contents are either in the factory sealed bag or have been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
