Still factory 'round tape' sealed and from 1996. This is the only smaller-scale injection molded plastic kit of the 'Flugzeugtrager A' or 'Aircraft Carrier A" and it is a very well molded and highly detailed model from newer Revell of Germany molds. Features 161 pieces, full hull, propeller and rudder detail, primary and secondary anti-aircraft guns, detailed flight deck, one elevator in the 'down' position, Bf-109T and Ju-87T aircraft, lifeboats, detailed island structure and more. Includes decals with markings for the flight deck and the aircraft. This German WWII aircraft carrier has a fascinating history. She was laid down in 1936, and launched in 1938. Raeder pressed for proper fitting out and completion, but ran into continuous and powerful resistance from Goring, who did not like the idea of the Navy having a mobile air-arm. Goring's interference proved conclusive and the ship, which was 95% complete, never entered service. The air wing was to be navalized Bf-109 Fighters and Ju-87 Dive Bombers. Work stopped completely in 1943 as Hitler became frustrated with the Navy. On April 25, 1945, the Germans scuttled the nearly complete carrier at Stettin just before the Russians arrived. What happened next has been unclear for years. It was generally assumed that the ship struck a mine and sank after the Soviets raised her. With the opening of Russian records, this story can be completed. In 1946 the Soviets raised the ship and towed it to Leningrad. There, they hoped to rebuild it and use it for her intended purpose. This proved to be impossible at the time, so in 1947 it was towed to sea and used as an target. In 2006, the wreck was actually located.

In 1969 the first of four "Mountbatten" Class (SR.N4) Hovercraft entered commercial service on the channel crossing. The crossing could then be made in 35 minutes at a high level of comfort. This is a large and very highly detailed model bot inside and out. It features a clear roof to show the complete interior which includes all seats, ables, cabins, lavatories and car ferry area, optional position loading ramps for thru-ship drive-on-drive off loading/unloading, 1/144 scale automobiles, complete bridge with control panel, seats and much more. Includes decals for Hoverlloyd or BR Seaspeed version. NOTE: this kit has very minor and 'professional' grade subassembly as follows: main floor to lower hull; (2) small inserts to (2) rear side pieces. There is no other assembly. The clear parts are still in the factory sealed bag; all other parts have been inventoried complete. Includes 'excellent' condition decals and instructions.

Rare kit from 1961 that caused quite a sensation when introduced. The Master Modeler/Nuclear Fleet hardbox features dramatic framable box top artwork by John Steel and cut aways of the model on the sides. Includes additional decals to make one of the five submarines listed. Very nicely detailed kit with swing away starboard hull, detailed weapons system, two Polaris missiles that fire, retractable periscope, movable control surfaces, detailed crew quarters, mess, galley, torpedo room, instrument and chart rooms, detailed atomic engine room and reactor, US Navy markings, extensive color decals and display stand. The kit is molded in the correct medium gray, light green and black. It has never been started and is inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals, instructions, 'The Story Of Our Undersea Nuclear Navy' booklet, Revell Master Modeler application and Master Modeler Stamp for this model. The box is 100% intact, solid, has four original corners & no repairs but NOTE: there are stains and general wear as shown, hence the 'fair++' grade. It is not in collectible condition.

Molded in white, clear, red-tinted clear, chrome and with rubber tires and metal axles & body screws. NOTE this kit has very minor 'professional' quality subassembly as noted: block halves, oil pan and heads; front cross member to chassis; back to (2) rear slicks. There is no other assembly. Second issue hardbox from about 1960. This issue used the same dramatic box artwork as the original issue 'S' kit and is molded in the same colors - white, light wood tan and dark wood brown. like most early Revell sailing ships, it is very well detailed and molded. Features full hull with display stand, detailed deck fittings and houses, separately masts and yards arms, separately molded belaying pins, realistic deadeye assemblies, lifeboats, Revell's superb preformed rat lines, rigging instructions, rigging material and vacuform billowing sails. The sails are in 'near mint' condition. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals, color flag sheet and instructions present. While all parts are present, please NOTE that the display stand is broken; the broke part is present and fits back perfectly with no gap. The propeller is missing one blade; that blade is not present. One of part number tags would made the basis of an ideal replacement as is the right color, thickness and even has the right camber. The 295' bark rigged sailing ship was built in 1936 in Bremerhaven, Germany, for the German Navy. It was originally named Horst Vessel. The vessel was acquired in 1946 as a World War II war reparation. The ship was named the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, and has been used ever since as a training ship for future U.S. Coast Guard Officers. Eagle is based in New London, Connecticut.
