Lindberg Russian Jet Fighter Mig-19 With Tow Tractor - Cellovision Issue, 1/48, 561-98

Very rare 1950s Cellovision issue. On the back of the box, the clear window is intact and the trading card is in 'very good++' condition. This is a large scale (1/48) 'theoretical' Mig-19. It was removed from production well before it's time because it soon became obvious that this aircraft never existed in this configuration. However, Aurora made one almost just like it; so it is believed that they both used the same faulty magazine drawing as the basis for both models. Includes a very well detailed tow tractor with driver. The aircraft is molded in silver and the tractor in yellow. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Work began on the HS-132 as a jet powered replacement for all the current dive and ground attack bombers which could not function without complete air superiority. Using the experience from the HS123 and 129, Henschel created a simple design where the pilot lay prone to combat "G" forces. The prototype was almost complete when the Russians captured it in 1945. NOTE: bagged kit; there is no box. The box is shown for reference only. Limited release kit. Has fine, recessed panel lines, film instruments and many brass photoetched parts. Never started. The parts are either still in the internal factory sealed bags or inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. A total of 125 Glen Submarine-based seaplane were built between 1941 and 1943 when they were replaced by the Aichi M6A1 Seiran. The first operational Glen mission was on December 17, 1941 when I-7 launched her aircraft for a dawn reconnaissance over Pearl Harbor to assess the damage done in the December 7th attack. In September of 1942, Warrant Officer Fujita took off in his Glen from I-25 and became the only aircraft to ever bomb the continental United States when he dropped phosphorus bombs in two attacks on the Oregon coast. Decals for both of these aircraft are included.

1960s Revell of Great Britain 'Famous Plane Series' issue with RAF 'Strike True' crest on the side panels. Like most Revell GB issues, this one includes special features not found in the USA issue. In this case, there is a much more extensive decal sheet and an opening two piece canopy. The actual aircraft is inventoried complete and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: missing display stand.

MPM Aichi M6A1 Seiran, 1/72, CZ003

Limited issue injection molded kit with fine recessed panel detail. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The M6A1 Seiran was a late war submarine based float plane. The new I-400 class contained a large, water tight hanger and this aircraft was designed specifically for that space. The wings and tail folded to fit but the aircraft could be assembled in 7 minutes by a trained crew. To aid in night assembly, the critical parts were painted with florescent paint. The first planned attack was the Panama Canal, but this was cancelled in favor of Ulithi Atoll anchorage. The war ended before the attack could take place.

Original issue from the late 1950s/early 1960s with the finest mold quality. This is an excellent model for that time and is still popular today. Molded in dark green and clear. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please not the the box would grade much higher but it has remains of clear tap on the top and lower center of the box and the long side panels. The MB-2 is the famous first bomber to sink a battleship under any circumstances. Billy Mitchell arranged to have the ex-WWI German Battleship Ostfriesland used as target practice for 6 MB2s, and the ship sank in 25 minutes.

Comet Aeronca K Floatplane - 25 inch Wingspan Flying Balsa Airplane Model, 3208

Late 1960s reissue of the 1950s kit. Features traditional wood/tissue construction, quality printwood sheets, pre-cut balsa stringers and spars, detailed full size plans, building instructions, clear material for windows, tissue and propeller. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. Please note that the box is heavily worn and only fair but all of the contents are excellent. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

This model is part of a very popular and successful line of 1/48 World War II kits that Monogram began in the early 1960s; new kits were introduced continually into the early 1980s. This kit features great fit and finish, retracting landing gear, rotating wheels & propeller, pilot, cockpit and optional drop tank. Molded in the correct silver, black and clear plastic. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Please NOTE that the box has light age spotting; it can be seen on the right side in the light yellow areas.

1955 issue with great box art. This was Monogram's 8th plastic aircraft kit and sported the fine fit and finish that they became famous for. This model has the correct black rubber tires is the second issue; the only difference from the first issue is the "PA" vs. "P" part number. Features rotating propellers, optional retracted or 'landing' position floats, two torpedoes and crew members. Molded in the correct bright gloss dark blue (I have seen it in silver too) and clear with the early black rubber tires. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Monogram Albatross SA-16B - Hu-16, 1/72, P20-149

Rare first issue hardbox dated 1957. The first issue is P20 and the second is PA20; the "P" designation lasted less than a year. Features retracting landing gear, rotating wheels & propellers, three man crew, optional position door and two survivors in life rafts. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam. Never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: the box displays slightly better than the 'good-' grade but is rated as such because there is a long tape pull on the upper long box side.
