As big as an aircraft, the Kometa-20 (K-20) was one of the first airborne strategic missile systems. Due to it's range (600km, but with the range of the Tu-95 that carried it, add 6400 km to that), high speed (mach 2) and massive size (which held the big 5,000 lb 37D three-megaton thermonuclear warhead), the Kangaroo was a real threat, especially in the early Cold War years. AS-3s were replaced in the 1980s by the new K-22 system. This model is perfect for a 1/72 airbase diorama. This beautifully molded and highly detailed missile features all fine recessed surface detail, ground cart and extensive decals down to the stencils. Never started. This model is a very highly detailed waterline kit and probably the finest 1/700 Borodino ever available. Features superb cast resin hull, turrets, funnels & other larger parts, two large frets of PE parts & one smaller fret, turned brass gun barrels and more. The brass photoetched parts are exceptional and constitute a great deal of the kit including upper decks, railings, davits, ladder and much more. Also includes brass stock for masts and yards. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes and instructions. Borodino was the lead ship of her class of five pre-dreadnought battleships built for the Imperial Russian Navy in the first decade of the twentieth century. Completed after the beginning of the Russo-Japanese War in 1904, Borodino was assigned to the Second Pacific Squadron that was sent to the Far East a few months after her completion to break the Japanese blockade of Port Arthur. The Japanese captured the port while the squadron was in transit and their destination was changed to Vladivostok. The ship was sunk during the Battle of Tsushima in May 1905 due to explosions set off by a Japanese shell hitting a magazine. There was only a single survivor from her crew of 855 officers and enlisted men.

Very, very rare model for the advanced wood kit collector. This is a Joe Ott solid wood scale model gift set that includes all four aircraft models. Features four fuselage blocks with the fuselage outlines printed on them, four sheets of printwood, color insignia sheets for each aircraft, sandpaper, an unopened metal tube of glue, a large glass bottle with paint (dried up of course) and a huge, fold-out set of plans and instructions that separately covers all four models. The plans include fuselage and wing templates, a drawing of the finished model and text instructions. Each model has a 9 inch wingspan. The instructions are 'good+' and completely usable, but they are not perfect. This model has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts for four kits and all paperwork present. The box is intact (which is amazing) but it has wear, split corners and closed tears on the two short side panels.

Very Rare. This is one of the first three aircraft models issued by Revell back in 1953. This kit is correct with no rivets and no landing gear as well as the unique stand that was only issued with these three kits (and their gift set). This box is in excellent condition, complete with all end flaps and has not been crushed - usually these thin one-piece boxes are in very bad condition. The box has never been repaired. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Instructions are printed on the back of the box. It is very interesting to note that this kit is different from the 'Pre-S' issue in the following ways: no rivet detail, almost no panel lines, different part numbers, pilots are a part of the fuselage (busts only), one piece wings and absence of the pods at the half-wingspan line, no landing gear and no holes for such, very early 'Colortone' logo decals and a silver, two piece plastic stand of a unique design that was never used again.

This is a Type 3 logo kit from the 1960s with great box art. As you can see, two Hunters are at very high altitude and shooting at what appears to be a red jet-powered drone in Spanish Nationalist markings. This model has never been started. It is inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Did you notice the rather strange looking drone on the box art? I often wondered about it's (possible) origins. Thanks to Dusty Rhodes, it is a Jindivik Australian target drone developed and built by GAF (Government Aircraft Factories) Australia. Development began in 1948. The piloted prototype, named Pika, flew in October of 1950, while the first unmanned Jindivik Mk.1 flew in August 1952. Only 14 Mk.1s were built and powered by a single Armstrong-Siddeley Adder ASA.1 turbojet. The Mk.2 began production in 1953 with the Bristol Siddeley Viper ASV.3 engine. A total of 190 Mk. 2 Jindiviks were built and were known as Mk.102 in Great Britain service. Mk.3s numbered 150 total production. They were called Mk.103a in UK service and Mk.203A by the Royal Australian Navy. In 1964/65, 42 Mk.3As were delivered to the US Navy and designated Mk.303A. They did not have USN serial numbers or standard US Navy target drone designation. By 1968 there were not longer being used in the USN and at least 14 were transferred to the UK. Mk.3A were followed by 126 Mk.3B and even a Mk.4A which was built only in the UK. Over 500 were built total and used into the early 2000s.
