Very rare kit of the prototype XC-120 with detachable cargo pod. Model features 10 inch wingspan, opening doors on the pod, rotating rubber wheels, rotating propellers and a scale jeep and tank that can be loaded and unloaded. The box has wear as shown, but inside the kit is as new. It has never been started. The one large wing/fuselage part was never sealed and is mint, but all other parts and the decals are still sealed in the factory krinkle bag. Instructions are excellent with no damage. Swadar was a US company in the mid 1950s that produced a line of 4 models with a few variations (i.e. skis vs. wheels) within those kits. The original name of the company was Saunders-Swadar, but only a few kits were every issued that that name. This is one of the very rare early issues with the full color box. The top of the box says 'Saunders', and the side says 'Manufactured by Swadar Plastics Co. For Saunders-Swadar Toy Company Aurora Illinois'.

Very nicely done motorized model car. The motor is included. The headlights are engineered to work, but the manufacture states that you must purchase your own bulbs (locomotive ones would work great). Molded in red, clear, silver and black with rubber tires, metal gear box and metal parts. Kit features detailed interior, steerable front wheels and decals. The kit has never been started. All parts are still factory sealed and the very nice factory color cardboard and blister display is mint.
