Original Revell 'S' hardbox kit from 1956. Fantastic box art. Highly detailed and well molded model. Features deck guns, all masts and booms, barges and landing craft. The kit has never been started. The USS Randall was on of 57 Haskell Class Attack Transports built for service in and immediately after WWII. The ships were designed to carry troops close to the beachheads, transfer them to landing barges (carried on board) and to supervise the landing operations. Her length was 455 feet and she could handle 1,560 troops and carry 3000 tons of equipment. Through her colorful career she earned many awards. She had to tours in the Pacific including Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After the war she took part in 'Magic Carpet'. Her Hollywood career was in the movie 'Away All Boats' in which she played the Belinda'.

The Me-263 was designed to correct some of the Me-163s shortcomings. The ideas were tested on '163s before the first '263 airframe was assembled. Primary differences included lengthen fuselage for increased fuel capacity, pressurized cockpit, dual chamber (full and cruise) rocket engine, bubble canopy and retractable gear.
