Purchased new on March 31, 1966 at Hobbyville in Cleveland, OH. Very nicely produced stick-and-tissue model that lowers the landing gear before the model lands. Can be flown with rubber, electric or gas control line or converted to RC with modern lightweight systems. Features high quality die-cut balsa sheet parts, stripwood and spars, fully formed wire landing gear struts, finished wheels, other wood and metal stock as required, light plastic full engine cowl, pilot bust and other details, beautiful clear vacuformed one-piece canopy (still mint not yellowed), rubber motor, plastic prop, a big set of full color decals, coving tissue and excellent full size plans with detailed instructions. Never started and complete. Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I always considered Sterling kits to be deluxe kits as they had the action features and included everything needed to complete the model.

Rare promo. I would grade this one a 7 out of 10, with 10 being mint. The paint is excellent, but the roof has been repainted. Wheels are mint (never played with) and the chrome is excellent. The car is complete, but there is a tiny chip out of the back window upper reveal molding as shown. With repair of this chip and a roof repaint it would grade 8.5 or higher. The box is an original Jo-Han box but it is NOT original to this model.

Rare, all-original, friction-drive promo in the original box. The box end flap is stamped for this exact model. The car is complete. However it is far from mint because the paint has age wear as shown (spotting) and is thin in sections. The box is only 'fair.' The cardboard is intact and would grade 'good' but the clear plastic is mostly unglued and part of it is missing.

2011 Revell reissue using the original molds and box art. Ideal builder. The box top says 'Fully Operating Model Does Everything But Fire' and it is true. The model consists of over 300 parts and has many action features typical of Renwal models. The wheels roll, tractors can be hooked to the cannon which can be stowed in the 'travel' position. The gun can move into the 'fire' position off the tractors and can be trained realistically. The kit has never been started. All parts are still in the factory sealed internal bags. With decals and instructions.

Features detailed engine and compartment, opening hood, molded underside detail with separate torsion bar suspension, complete interior and numerous 'Hi-Style' accessories to make a custom of your choice. Features rotating prop, full side and cockpit glass, and blue and red pinstripe decals with N numbers and rudder fin flash markings. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing one propeller. Otherwise inventoried complete with all other parts including decals and instructions. If you trim the length of the Aeroclub props they make excellent replacements for the Aurora props.

Fantastic Cold War Box art. KVZ was the logo used by this East German kit manufacturer from 1969 to 1973. During this time, some unique Cold War kits were produced of Russian Airliners and Military Helicopters and Aircraft. Large and colorful decal sheet is in excellent condition. The kit is molded in white, clear, silver and black and includes full landing gear and a large display stand. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts, decals, stand and instructions. Please note that the box art is Interflug, but the kit decals are for Aeroflot.
