Very rare, and even rarer in investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. Tamiya's early armor models were the finest works of the mold maker's art and the very top of that line had push-button remote control and dual electric motor operation. This is one of those kits. The box has great color and gloss, four solid corners and general light wear as the only flaws. It features excellent detail and mold quality, a factory assembled all-metal gear box with dual electric motor drive for realistic differential steering control, all hardware, a factory wired/soldered switch, hand-held remote and working treads that are still 100% intact and flexible. The kit has never been started. Inside, it is exactly as it left the factory. All of the parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The few larger parts that were never sealed are inventoried complete. With full color painting guide in 'excellent' condition and 'near mint' instructions. The decals are still factory sealed and are in 'excellent+' condition. Please note, this kit must be shipped insured.

Rare and the only 1/72 scale injection-molded kit ever made of this Soviet airborne radar/early warning aircraft. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Tupolev TU-126 Moss (NATO Designation) was based on the obsolete Aeroflot TU-114 Airliner, itself developed from the TU-95 (TU-20) Bear turboprop bomber first flown in the 1950s. The Tupolev Bear and derivatives have the distinction of being the fastest propeller driven aircraft in the world. First identified in 1968, the Moss is believed to have entered service in 1971, the exact number used by Soviet Forces being unknown. The TU-126 has been assessed by Western sources as being of only limited capability, being unable to detect cruise missiles or small aircraft at low level. Commencing in the early 1980s the Beriev A-50 Mainstay began development to replace the TU-126 in service. With greater capability than the Moss, operational examples began being fielded in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Very rare and dated 1963. First and only Four-Star issue of this rare accessory for customizing and of Monogram's large 1/8 car kits or any other larger car kit. The beautifully chromed parts in mint condition and includes a Weiand manifold, six Stromberg carbs, six air cleaners, carb linkage & water outlet and excellent instructions. Never started and complete. The parts are still wrapped in the original factory tissue paper. The clear cellophane window on the back is in mint condition. In an attempt to make the superb but very expensive 1/8 car molds pay off, Monogram issued some parts separately as accessories for any larger car models. The entire line came out in 1963 and consisted of AK201-59 Six Carb Assembly, AK202-59 Oval Gas Tank, AK203-79 Drag Race Set, AK204-79 GMC Blower Set, AK205-79 Chrome Wheel Set, AK206-100 White Wall Drag Slicks and AK207-79 White Wall Tires. Sales were very weak because all of the 1/8 scale car kits were very expensive for that time, so and the line was discontinued.

Berkeley is a very famous manufacturer of flying model kits from the Golden Age of flying aviation, about 1932-1954. Founded in 1933 by William Effinger, the company was quite progressive in producing quality kits - it was likely the Berkeley 'Buccaneer' was the first gas powered model in kit form. In the later 1930s, Effinger acquired the services of a very talented Henry Struck. Struck went on to design numerous award-winning kits under the Berkeley name. Berkeley weathered the post WWII recession and emerged as a major kit producer in the late 1940 and 1950s. These were great years for Berkeley and they produced some incredible and large kits. The company went bankrupt in about 1960 however. Fox engines (Duke Fox) bought the company and released the kits alongside his own FOX models and engines. This arrangement did not last, and in the early 1960s the Berkeley name disappeared from hobby shop shelves.

1963 hardbox issue. This model features specially modified Lancaster fuselage with Dam Buster bomb and release mechanism, retractable anding gear, rotating propellers and wheels, working control surfaces and more. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Dam Busters squadron was famous for their daring raids on three German dams on May 16, 1943. Carrying the special Barnes Wallis-designed bombs, the Lancasters flew very low over the water in the face of heavy flak to drop the rotating bombs perfectly. Many did not return. The bombs did perform as promised, first skipping over the water, hitting the dam, then rolling down 30 feet before exploding with tremendous force. In an airburst, these bombs would not have damaged the dams, but since water is incompressible, the dams were breached.
