From rare, vintage, out of production model car kits by AMT, Revell, MPC to race car kits, OMK has a wide selection spanning most of the 20th century's classic automobiles. We carry some Nascar stock car kits as well. We have 1/24 and 1/25 scale kits as well as large scale kits ranging from 1/16, 1/12, 1/8 and more. Chevrolet, Ford, Corvette, Mustang, Camaro, Cadillac and even a few Toyotas.
Aurora 1913 Mercer Raceabout Old Timers, 1/16, 572-198

1961 first issue hardbox. Produced in big 1/16 scale, this kit and the other 'Old Timers' in the series represented a significant leap forward in quality for Aurora. This kit features full suspension, transaxle and driveline detail. It builds up a rolling chassis like the real car, and includes full exhaust and a detailed interior. Molded in gloss ivory, gloss black and with chrome plated parts and real rubber tires. The kit has never been started. Inside, it is exactly as it left the factory. The black and chrome parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The ivory and clear were never factory sealed and have been inventoried complete including the instructions. Aurora was renowned for turning a profit and for keeping expenses down. In researching new kit subjects, they came upon a forgotten jewel - the Hudson Miniatures line of 1/16 scale wooden kits. Hudson had discontinued this line due to lack of sales of wooden kits. But the Hudson models were second to none in quality, research and documentation. Aurora was quick to realize this and used the research and layout from these kits to create the subjects for this 'Old Timers' series. It is fortunate for us that they did, because in most cases this is the only injection molded kit of these rare and classic early automobiles.

In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. The Bentely Speed Six did more than any other model to promote Bentley's performance and status. Factory raced versions won the 24 Hours at Le Mans and Brooklands. The model includes colored and clear injection molded parts, wire wheels, detailed chassis with separated molded underpan and exhaust and complete interior. Ideal for slot car conversion. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions present.

Rare. Original 'Four Star' issue from 1959. The box has excellent color and gloss, four solid corners, no tape or price tags and no missing or torn litho. Moderate corner wear on the left and minor corner wear on the right are the only flaws. The kit is molded in the correct high gloss dark blue, silver and black. Features driver, Chrysler dummy engine, six carburetors, drag 'slicks' and pin stripe decals. Includes rope guides and motor mount for powered racing. The instructions provide details on attaching the Jet-X unit to the car. The kit has never been started. NOTE: pinstripe decals are present but 'slingshot' and '7' are missing from the decal sheet. All parts have been inventoried complete including instructions and remaining decals.

Very rare kit for the advanced collector. In the early 1950s Best Hobby Kits (Best Plastic Corporation of Brooklyn, NY) entered the infant USA plastic model kit market with a series of Indianapolis 500 winners. Six kits were issued - the 1920 Monroe Special, 1922 Murphy Special, 1931 Miller Special, 1935 Gilmore Special, 1940 Maserati Racer and 1953 Fuel Injection Special. The kits were priced correctly and featured 'Super Detailed' parts (for the time). It is unknown why the line failed to sell - it may have been distribution. Best was certainly not a large player in the business. The kit features real rubber Firestone racing tires, decals and some interior detail. The kit has not been started. All parts are still in the original 'krinkle' bag. Complete with decals and instructions.

Every few decades an automobile is produced that becomes an world-leading classic in beauty and performance. In the spring of 1934 at the Berlin Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz introduced a new series of high speed touring cars. The engine was the super charged 8 cylinder Mercedes, and the model name was 500K; 500 for the engine's 5 liter displacement and K for "Kompressor" or super charger. One of the three 500k cars was to become an immediate classic -the Singelfingen-Bodied 500K Special Sports Roadster. Highly detailed kit with over 150 parts. The model is molded in tan, black, clear and a large tree of chrome-plated parts. Features steerable wheels, removable top, operating rumble seat, removable boot, highly detailed engine and full chassis, double spare tires, detailed interior, opening hood, chrome spoked wheels and tonneau cover. Features opening hood, detailed engine and transmission, Goodyear Custom wide tread tires on Cragar Mach 8 Wheels, full interior and detailed chassis and suspension. Molded in chrome plate, blue, clear and with black tires. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. NOTE: the chrome windshield frame is broken but both parts are there so you can repair it (which is best done by gluing it around the clear windshield).
