1965 hardbox issue. The troubled and short service life of the Lockheed Electra airliner posed a problem for Revell; they had invested heavily in the Electra tooling but the kits were no longer selling. Luckily, the Navy took a long term view of the Electra airframe/powerplant combination and saw a superb ASW aircraft. Revell modified the Electra molds to produce this fine small scale Orion kit. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
