Rare, true first issue dated 1956 and in exceptional condition inside and out. This large-scale model is highly detailed for that time and features flexible sails, crew of two, working rudder, extensive illustrated & text rigging instructions and large anchor-shaped stand. Molded in red and ivory plastic. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts, rigging thread, sails and includes instructions. The first issue is denoted by the 'P' prefix part number and "Four Star Plastikit" text in the Monogram log. The second issue has the 'PB' part number prefix and "The Name For Quality Hobby Kits" for the logo text.
