Rare 1957 first and only issue. When sales of the dramatic XSL-01 Moon Rocket did not meet expectations, Revell molded the top stage in a different color plastic from the XSL-01, added a special 3D Moon Base Stand and boxed it as a stand-alone kit. The result was this Moon Ship with incredible box art. The box art invites you to 'Enter the Age of Space' with these action features: retractable landing ski, removable fuselage section with detailed cabin with controls and instrument panels and a crew of three astronauts. Molded in correct baby blue and clear plastic. This model has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Very highly detailed. Original issue features operating, metal-spring independent suspension on all four wheels, metal gear box, electric motor, factory-wired switch, working steering, fully detailed engine, completely detailed cockpit and much more. The parts are molded in white/ivory, chrome, silver, black and with rubber tires. The kit has never been started. The smaller metal parts are still factory sealed bags in the clear blisters on cardboard. Many of the plastic parts are still sealed in the factory internal bags; the parts that are not sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box displays slight better than the 'fair+' grade but is rated as such because there is a 3" x 1.5" missing section on the left long side of the box top.
