Dated 1960. Hardbox release of the classic Aurora kit. Notice the 'Sunburst' logo with no 'Famous Fighters' in the oval, which dates this kit closer to the mid 1960s. Molded in black and clear with the clear triangular 'globe' display stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions both in 'excellent' condition. Please NOTE that the box displays much better than the 'fair++' grade. It is graded that low because the top long side panel has numerous light stains. There is also general wear at the very top edge of the box top, but the side panel stains are worse.

From the 1960s. Wide 'White' box issue with white side panels and action-packed artwork showing part of a box formation of B-24s at the moment of "Bombs Away!" Guns blaze at attacking fighters while flak burst close in. One B-24 is going down with the starboard wing in flames. This was a well detailed kit for that time. Guns elevate and turrets move, ailerons, elevators and rudders move, the landing gear retracts and extends, props rotate, has 'good' cockpit detail, a crew of 8 and optional position crew entry door and ladder. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Although a wonderful kit on it's own, MPC did a great deal to 'dress it up' for the USA market by including the unique 'Modular Display Stand,' standard and 'custom' decals and four clear plastic simulated spinning prop 'discs' in addition to the regular Airfix props. Features many moving parts: turrets rotate and guns elevate, landing gear retracts/extends, wheels and props turn and all control surfaces move. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals are in exceptional 'near mint' condition, which is rare with these early MPC kits.
