As big as an aircraft, the Kometa-20 (K-20) was one of the first airborne strategic missile systems. Due to it's range (600km, but with the range of the Tu-95 that carried it, add 6400 km to that), high speed (mach 2) and massive size (which held the big 5,000 lb 37D three-megaton thermonuclear warhead), the Kangaroo was a real threat, especially in the early Cold War years. AS-3s were replaced in the 1980s by the new K-22 system. This model is perfect for a 1/72 airbase diorama.
