Includes the very high quality laser-cut Nautilus Models wooden deck that completely replaces the plastic flight deck on this kit. This is a scale, thick replacement for the Revell flight deck; not a thin overlay. Features optional position elevators, island and superstructure parts locators and full assembly and painting/finishing instructions. Never used, complete and in mint condition. The actual kit is the 1987 reissue of the original 1967 kit. Very nicely done and features 20 SBDs, 20" long hull, movable cranes and optional position elevators. The box art shows the wartime finish, but the kit contains decals for this or the prewar high-vis finish. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea and underwent temporary repairs in record time so she could take part in the Battle of Midway. Damaged by bombs and eventually a spread of submarine-fired 'Long Lance' torpedoes, she was lost after an epic struggle to save the ship.

Dated 1988. Very nicely molded and detailed model of this milestone car. The De Dietrich hailed from the era when the French made the finest cars anywhere and were the undisputed technology leaders. The 1902 De Dietrich was a light-weight racer which took part in the 1902 Paris-Vienna race. If you have not read up on this era of automotive history, I urge you to do so as it is fascinating. After the race, it was brought to England where a tonneau body was fitted for touring. The racing was retained and they could be switched out at the owner's preference. Never started.
