Older and well detailed with fine raised fine panel lines, cockpit, optional opened or closed bomb bay doors, internal iron bomb load, tail "stinger", detailed landing gear and gear wells and more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The B-47 was a very advanced aircraft at the time. The XB-47 first flew in 1947. The big jet's speed was equal to or greater than all current fighter aircraft, so it received radar-controlled twin 20mm cannons in the tail as the only guns. Through the use of mid-air refueling, the B-47 gave SAC it's first all-jet force for nuclear or regular bomb delivery. Although it was tricky to fly, Stratojets flew into the mid 1960s. A program to strengthen the wings for low-level attack was responsible for prolonging the service life.

From 1977 with John Steel box art. This is an excellent kit with simplified assembly. The scale is not mentioned but this one measures just over 16.5 inches (~42 cm) inches long when assembled. I estimate that it has very close to 80 parts. Features finely engraved one piece hull, detailed deck with all fittings, one-piece masts and yards, molded ratlines, superb vacuform sails (some of the best I have seen), rigging thread, rigging instructions, display stand and decals. Molded in black, wood tan and the sails in ivory vacuform plastic. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decal and instructions.
