1956 first and only issue in remarkable condition inside and out - the finest I have ever seen. The box top is in 'Excellent+++' condition. It has factory-new color and gloss, no fading, stains, holes or tears. There are no price tags, no tag marks and no tape or tape marks (other than the factory sealing tape of course). Amazingly, there are no marks from the decorative ribbon Revell shipped them with, which is very rare. Flaws include: the creases shown at the lower left and upper right corners, light and isolated edge and corner wear (mainly at the upper right top edge). Inside, all of the correct factory divider trays are present. Nothing has been started. Three of the aircraft are still in the original factory sealed bags. The F-89 and F-102 are not sealed but have been inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. All kit include the correct clear 'Revelving' Globe-based stand. Even includes the colorful, factory-sealed tube of Revell S Cement. The tray (lower box) is in 'excellent++' condition. It would be difficult to find a better example of this kit, especially since there is no ribbon stain on the box top.

Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I always considered Sterling kits to be deluxe kits compared to other manufacturers.
