1978 issue with fantastic John Steel box art. The model is from the original 1950s molds and was considered very detailed for that time. Measures 16 inches long when built and features one-piece full hull, electric motor and hardware for operation in water, rudder and propeller detail, complete deck fittings, separately molded AA guns and stands, LCVP landing craft with optional position doors and much more. Decals are furnished for LT 762. Never started. It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing (1) part: static (display) propeller . Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals, flag sheet and instructions. Please NOTE that the box shows slightly better than the grade of 'good-'. It is rated as such because there are tears and some missing cardboard on the left short side as well as the moderate wear shown in the photo.

Very rare kit from 1960. Picture Fleet hardbox issue with John Steel framable artwork. The USS Canberra, originally CA-70 (Baltimore Class Heavy Cruiser) was converted to the world's second Guided Missile Cruiser in 1952 and redesignated CAG-2. Her sister Boston was the first CAG and was designated CAG-1. Never started. The parts and all paperwork are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Revell A-4Q Skyhawk With Bullpup Missiles Argentina Air Force Or Navy - (Fuerza Aerea Argentina Or Marina Argentina), 1/50, 4409

Rare. Lodela first and only issue with Argentine markings, Bullpup missiles, two missile carts and tow bars, pilot and three ground crew. This kit uses modified 1956 molds from H232-89, the original S Skyhawk issue. Revell added two Bullpup Missiles (improperly labled as 'Air-To-Air Missiles' on the box top), two missile trailers with towbars, four figures, three figure bases, weapons pylons and separate flap hinge covers (which are included in this issue but strangely missing from the instructions). Molded in white and clear. Never started. Inventoried and the aircraft itself is complete but NOTE: missing one (of 8) wheels for the missile carts. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts present, plus a 'near mint' condition large decal sheet and 'very good++' instructions.

1970 Japan issue in large 1/32 scale. Like most Revell of Japan kits, this one includes special features - in this case, decals for three different helicopters (the USA issue had markings for two). Includes parts for civil or military versions. Features complete interior, detailed cockpit, working main and tail rotors and optional gun packs. Never started. The parts and all paperwork are still in the internal factory sealed bag. Literally everything inside is factory sealed.

Revell USS Yorktown CV-5 Aircraft Carrier, 1/490, 85-3017

2011 reissue of the original 1967 kit. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea and Midway and was lost after an epic struggle to save the ship. This is a very nicely done model that features 114 pieces, the correct parts to differentiate it from her sisters Hornet and Enterprise, 20 SBDs Dauntless dive bombers, 20" long hull one-piece full hull with propeller and rudder detail, partial hanger deck fore and aft, detailed island structure, movable cranes, optional position elevators and more.

Very rare solid wood scale model from 1943. Features a 3D factory carved hardwood fuselage, factory-cut rotor blades, finished wheels, other wood and metal stock as required, color decals and excellent full size plans with detail drawings. Even includes an unopened lead tube of modeling cement. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and plans. Very little is know about Douglas Modeling Company beyond the address of 105 East Second South, Salt Lake City Utah. On the plans they wrote "We will be interested in seeing pictures of your ship and knowing what you think of our kits. We would like also to have each of you tell us whayou would like to see in new solids models which intend to produce. Watch for our flying model of the Sikorsky Helicopter."

Hard to find Craftmaster issue. Features optional position landing gear and working airstair rear door. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Still factory sealed but the seal has a split on the left short side. Dated 1977. The only injection molded kit of the Lear 25. When Testors acquired the IMC molds for the Lear 24, they were extensively modified to make the more recent Model 25. Features full interior and cockpit, opening two-piece cabin door, detailed engines with removable cowls, removable hatch showing detailed avionics bay and more.

Part of the deluxe high-cost Comet "Y" kit line from the 1950s. Note the box showing a bottle of Coke next to the young builder's snack tray and a finished aircraft. Large scale issue with the 'Coke Bottle' box design. For rubber flight or easily converted to RC using today's tiny and light servos and receivers. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, very high quality printwood, stripwood and spars, and other balsa stock as required, scale wood prop, completely preformed wood wheels, additional sheet with cut-out canopy frames, air intake and instrument panel, metal prop shaft, covering tissue and superb full size plans with instructions. The model has not been started. It has been inventoried complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Very highly detailed resin cast kit with clear parts. Includes cockpit interior, paint guide and decals for Italy or rare Paraguay Air Force version. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Breda 44 looked much like the DH Dragon. The '44 was a light transport built in 1934 and carried 6 passengers. It saw limited use in Italy and a number were transported to Paraguay during the Chaco War with Bolivia in 1934.
