Fifth issue with the original issue artwork still dated 1956; but actually this kit is from the early/mid 1960s. This is the final issue to retain the original Jim Cox artwork. In the first issue, there is a square Northern Lights logo in the lower left. In the second issue, it has been replaced with the first famous oval logo sunburst. In this issue, the post-'Famous Fighters' blue oval has been placed in the upper left, allowing us to the see the complete artwork. Molded in gloss dark olive green and black plastic. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box is intact but has stains and damage, so it is graded 'fair' and is not collectible. The decals are intact but have stains on the backing paper - the actual transfers are clear. Thanks to Eugene DuBey, we know some history on the aircraft that Aurora modeled. The tail # on the kit rudder is 1354, the number of a Nieuport 16 that served with "CAM de Dunquerke / St Pol sur Mer", 1916-17.

Still factory sealed but the seal has shrunk and drawn the right top concave as shown and also the lower long side. The B-10 was a highly advanced aircraft for the 1930s, featuring fully enclosed crew, retractable landing gear, controllable pitch props and revolving turret. This model is very nicely detailed and molded. It features internal crew stations, retracted or extended landing gear with struts compressed or extended, external bomb rack and bombs, hard or flexible wheels and decals for three aircraft.

Still factory sealed. This is the upgraded version of this well molded injection kit with photoetched details. The Japanese copy of the Me-163 Komet was a last ditch attempt to stop the B-29 raids. Gliding tests went well, but on it's first powered flight, the motor quit and the aircraft crashed. The end of the war stopped further development.

This is the second issue of this rare kit. Oddly enough, this issue is the rarest of them all. The box is in remarkable 'Excellent++' condition with like-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no repairs, no tears or missing litho, no tape or tape marks (other than the factory sealing tape of course), no price tags or tag marks, no fading and no stains. The flaws are general very light edge wear and some minor surface scuffs. The 4 box sides are in the same condition as the top; the box tray (bottom box) is in 'excellent' condition. The box top is copyrighted 1956, but this issue is from 1957 for the debut of the new logo. For this release, Aurora kept the original issue box art but with these changes: the old logo was replaced with the 'Famous Fighters' Sunburst Oval on a yellow rectangle background and the white in the 79 cent 'price circle' is now a cloud background . The kit is molded in the correct beautiful metallic dark blue and clear and has the early rectangular clear display stand, correct decals and correct instructions. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Very rare 1950s Lindberg 1st issue with the early round logo. Very large and nicely detailed kit with over 120 parts. This early issue still features metal stanchions and metal hand rails. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts complete and includes flag sheet, decals and instructions. This kit has a very interesting history. It was originally produced by Varney in 1944. It was novel at the time as it had a wooden hull, cardstock deck but all injection molded tenite deck parts and details. But the world was not ready for this type of kit and dealers were hesitant to carry it - which resulted in low sales. Gorden Varney sold the molds for the kit to O-lin (Olsen and Lindberg). O-Lin reworked the kit using a vacuform hull, cardstock and tenite parts. When Lindberg took full control of O-lin, he went to an injection molded hull, colorful printed thick cardstock 'wood' deck, plastic parts, metal stanchions and other metal stock an needed (propeller shafts, etc). This is that model.
