Large wingspan flying model can be powered by rubber, electric or made R/C with the modern tiny and lightweight servos and receivers. Features traditional wood/tissue construction, detailed full size plans and building instructions, quality die-cut printwood, spars, stripwood, fully formed and finished wheels, wire stock, thrust button, metal prop shaft, plastic prop, tissue, rubber motor and color insignia. The model has not been started and has been inventoried 100% complete. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Features die-cut quality balsa wood, stripwood and other wood stock as needed, metal hardware, rubber motor, plastic propeller, very lightweight plastic wheels, covering tissue, decals, full sized plans and SIGs excellent 'Programed Instructions' which are perfect for beginners. Rare early issue from 1966 with the finest mold quality. This issue has the factory-painted copper hull below the waterline in amazing 'near mint' condition. Very large and highly detailed model of the famous American Frigate. Features full deck and much interior detail (gun deck & captain's quarters), all standing and running rigging line and thread, pre-formed ratlines, full instructions for assembly and all rigging and optional billowing sails. Never started. All the parts that Revell had factory sealed are still sealed in factory bags. The few large parts (the hull, ratlines and sails) that were never sealed are complete. Includes flags, preformed ratlines, standing and running rigging diagrams, sails and all instructions. Vacuform sails are in 'average' condition.
