The model is based on the BMW mock-up for a small, lightweight armored tank destroyer of about 3 tons and a two man crew. Design work under the name Rutscher was begun by several manufacturers in early 1942, but till 1945 only mock-ups were made. This is the BWM design with two PKW smooth-bore Rheinmetall guns firing fin-stabilized rounds to an effective range of up to 700 meters.

In early 1944 The Krupp/Steyr Construction Bureau displayed a wooden mockup of a light universal weapons carrier. The first functional prototype was built and tested on the Hillersleben Proving Grounds. It had a wide lower hull for improved stability while firing. The potent 8.8cm l/71 gun sat in an open top fully rotating turret. After testing, the project was dropped in favor of the Ardelt Design.

Very, very rare; only 50 were made and this is number 21. Very highly detailed model in high definition resin that includes full flotation gear. Never started. The Special Type 2 Launch Ka-Mi (Toku-ni-shiki uchibitei kami) was the first amphibious tank of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) in WWII. However, too few were produced too late for it to have an impact. The Ka-Mi was designed, initially, to assault islands. However, by the time it entered service, the Japanese forces were already on the defensive. They were used for infantry support, sometimes as moving pillboxes. Three formed the 1st Yokosuka Special Naval Landing Force based at Saipan, while two saw action in Leyte in 1944. They were affected to various naval garrison detachments in the Southern Pacific and East Indies. The USMC encountered the Ka-Mi when assaulting the Marianna and Marshall islands, at Guam, Aitape and Biak in New Guinea, and during the invasion of Leyte. Some sources claim that, off the coast of Leyte, USMC LVTs attacked and destroyed some Ka-Mis. Two survived to this day at the Kubinka Museum and on Palau island.
