The B-29 raids on the Japanese home islands caught the Army and Navy Air Forces unprepared. The S1A1 Denko and Ki-108 were far from successful at this role, so Kawasaki tried using the Ki-102 ground attack variant (derived from the Ki-96 and Ki-108) in a high altitude role. The aircraft were converted and saw service against B-29s at the end of the war, but only 238 were built. This is a well detailed model with many photoetched details. Never started. Features fine recessed panel lines, very good cockpit, numerous photoetched details and more. Includes markings for three aircraft. The kit has never been started. The Roc was designed from the Skua in an attempt to create a naval Defiant-style fighter that could attack from unusual angles. The type was ordered right off the drawing board, which was unfortunate. It was slower than expected due to the large turret. After seeing action over Norway and Belgium they were used in the training role with the turret removed.

Still factory sealed and from 1978. This is the once-legendary 1/72 Vulcan 'V' Bomber from Nova Models. It is a very good vacuformed kit with full size plans and decals by Micro Scale. Please note that vacuform kits are for experienced model builders only. Certain scratch building skills are required as well as a well-stocked spare parts box. Novo Models was a division of the very famous Archer's Products, which was part of Archer's Hobby World. Archer's Hobby World was a distributor of plastic models including (what was then) very exotic subjects which were only available in vacuform.
