First issue hardbox dated 1960. This airplane is a civil F3F that was flown for Gulf Oil by the famous stunt pilot Al Williams. It has a very unique action features: when you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Also features movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit, full decals including striping, sliding canopy, rigging material and instructions for rigging and is molded in clear, orange and silver. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Rare and very nicely molded kit. Can be built any one of three ways - stock, custom or competition. Includes a very large number of optional custom parts so you can make a totally unique automobile. Features full interior with optional seat belts, reel-to-reel tape deck, air conditioner, rear speaker, telephone, stuffed animal (rabbit), tachometer and gauges, rotating wheels, optional front and rear end custom treatments, chromed brake drum, jack stand, molded-in underside detail and more. Molded in white, clear, red tinted clear and chrome. With rubber tires. NOTE: this kit has minor and very neat subassembly as follows: engine block halves assembled. There is no other assembly. NOTE: missing instructions and decals. So the kit is NOT inventoried. I looked through it very carefully and it appears to only be missing the stock manifold, stock carb and stock air cleaner. Appears to include all other parts. NOTE: there are tire burns on the underside of the hood, two non-car parts, seats and side pipe.

An excellent and highly detailed 1/48 scale model featuring high-definition cast resin main parts, 20 finely cast metal details and several clear vacuform pieces (all in mint condition and not yellowed). Includes an outstanding decal sheets from Whirlybird Decals that is designed for this kit and represents Dh.88 aircraft G-ACSP 'Black Magic' from the England to Australia Air Race, October 1934. These decals look exactly like they are made from ink with gold mixed into it; or perhaps they are made from gold foil. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Comet was the winner of the famous 1934 England to Australia Air Race. The Australian Sir MacPherson Robertson put up $42,000 in prize money to the winner, and the DH-88 was specifically designed for the race. This low wing monoplane was the first British aircraft to incorporate retractable landing gear, wing flaps and variable pitch props in one design. Never started.
