Likely the fourth issue of this classic kit. Note the four digit part number extension, Mattel logo and "Blue Box" dated 1967. This airplane is a civil F3F that was flown for Gulf Oil by the famous stunt pilot Al Williams. The kit has several action features: When you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Kit features a movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit, full decals including striping, sliding canopy, instructions for rigging, and is molded in clear, orange and gray. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Hardbox issue dated 1960 with dramatic Jo Kotula box artwork. This would be a mid-1960s issue since it has no 'Famous Fighters' in the oval and the price extension is 130. The model is from the modified first issue Brooklyn U-Ma-Kit; the original release had limited surface detail, no landing gear, ordinance or drop tanks but this issue does. Molded in sliver and clear with the famous Aurora clear triangle-world map stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box is only rated 'good' because of the heavy creasing on the right side of the box top as shown.

1963 issue with Jo Kotula artwork. This kit was part of Aurora's very popular and successful 1/48 WWI series. The line started in 1956 and was expanded through the 1960s. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. This is the second issue because the box side logos does not have 'Famous Fighters' in the border of the logos. Thank to Dusty Rhodes for pointing out that the decals are for serial 419/15, Bayerische Feldflieger Abteiling 9, Autumn 1915.

Nicely detailed and contains parts and markings for three versions and two engine exhaust options. Features recessed panel lines, optional drop tank and X4 wire-guided air-to-air missiles. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Ta-183 was the winner of the Luftwaffe's emergency fighter competition of 1945 and was to enter full scale production. The aircraft never entered production, but the Russians and the Americans found the plans. From them, the Russians eventually build some aircraft and modified them till it was the Mig-15 while the Americans relied more on Messerschmidt plans for the basis of the F-86 Sabre Jet.
