Lindberg Concord Stagecoach (Wells Fargo Overland ) - with Figures and Horses, 1/16, 70351

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Mint

$89

Still factory sealed. Out of production. Very large (1/16 scale)classic kit measures 2.5 feet long when assembled. Very highly detailed model can build to a wonderful mantle piece. Includes 0ver 250 parts - coach with full interior, full suspension, luggage rack, horses, harnesses, whip, metal chain, luggage trunks and 6 figures. The figures are beautifully molded and detailed. NOTE: Lindberg packed this in a huge box - much larger than needed, so shipping can be expensive depending on your location. If you want the parts removed from this box and repacked, it would cost much less to ship. For overseas orders this is absolutely necessary. For USA customers the same is true and also the USPS shipping calculator has proven to be unreliable with big box sizes (near balloon rate) so please ask and as always- we will be happy to double check.

Monogram RB-66A Destroyer Blue Box Issue, 1/83, PA204-130

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc++

Still factory sealed. This is the original 1967 issue, not the 1990s reissue. Nicely molded and from the original 'Four Star' molds. Features rear gun turret, cockpit with three crew, opening bomb bay and bomb. Molded in silver and clear. When the Air Force phased out the B-66, they converted many into ECM aircraft, hence the RB-66A. Monogram seized this opportunity as a new lease on life for the B-66 molds and the result was this issue as RB-66 aircraft were being used in Vietnam in the late 1960s.

Pyro Monitor United States Ironclad, C258-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$56

Sale Pending
Email for availability.

Rare early issue of the Monitor alone. Usually this kit is only seen in the release that contains it and the Merrimac. Great hardbox artwork by AJ Rudisill from the late 50s. The Monitor was one of two American Civil war ships that spelled the end of the wooden ship age. In March of 1862, the Merrimac put to sea to raise the Union Blockade off the St. James. There she sank the Cumberland and Congress. The Monitor, the Union's only ironclad and the first turret ship, was rushed to the scene. The epic battle between the two iron-clad ships ended in a draw, with the Merrimac suffering a little more damage than the Monitor. The Merrimac was blown up to avoid capture; the Monitor sank in a gale in 1862. The Monitor is 10 inches long when built, is a full hull model and includes a display stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Please NOTE: the instructions have a short closed tear and a small stain from old tape (which has fallen off); also, one blade is broke from the prop at the base but the blade is present for an easy repair. Although dated, the Pyro Monitor and Merrimac kits are generally considered superior to the Lindberg models of the same ships.

Comet North American F-100 Super Sabre - 12.7 Inch Wingspan Flying Balsa Airplane - Coke Bottle Issue, R10-59

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$52

Rare. 1950s issue flying model with the box art showing a Coke next to the young builders snack plate and finished product. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction with high quality printwood, stripwood, wooden stock as required, clear vacuform canopy, fully formed wheels, covering tissue and detailed full size plans/building instructions with notes on how to fly the model. The model has not been started. Inventoried complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.
