In the 1930s Packard was the style leader in America and a beautiful and fast status symbol. Packards were not the most expensive, but were the most desired cars. The 1930s Packards are seen as the high point of the brand. Ex-Hubley kit. These kits are highly detailed and feature metal bodies/chassis/hood/engine and other detail parts with injection molded details, clear parts, and a large tree of chrome platted parts. Builds to a very realistic model since the parts that were metal on the real car are metal here. Rumble seat opens and closes; metal engine is highly detailed and the hood is removable. Full rolling chassis build and working worm-gear steering. Has minor engine block paint; no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Rare 1958 early Revell 'S' kit. Investment grade condition all around. The box top has perfect gloss and color and no flaws in the artwork on the top or sides. Inside, the kit has not been started and is inventoried 100% complete. Decals are flat with slight yellowing only. The instructions are mint. Model has moving flaps, ailerons, elevators and rudder and features a full crew. Large scale (1/50).

Before Frog injection molded the first acetate plastic kits in the late 1930s, wood was the primary modeling medium. Wooden kit manufacturers could produce a very simplistic kit which was nothing more than a few block of wood, plans and instructions that amounted to "Make wood look like aircraft". Other manufacturers such as Strombecker created almost completely carved kits that needed minimal finishing. The problem here was that the cost skyrocketed, leaving them out of reach of many buyers. Maircraft and some others found the middle ground in the 1930s with roughly precarved kit. The wings and fuselage would be cut to shape, but final shaping and finishing was needed. A small bag of detail parts was included with the plans. This kit is in exceptional condition as new. It has not been started and is complete with all parts, plans and sealed parts bag.
