This model is in amazing 'Near Mint+' condition. It would have been 'Mint' but the factory-applied price suffix stickers fell off, and they left a small area of residue from the old adhesive. The kit is dated 1958, but still has original 1956 box art. The actual issue date is from the mid-1960s due to the blue oval logo. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, decals and instructions.

Rare kit of the Dutch Trainer in a large near 1/48 scale. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Hard-to-find kit of the Dutch Trainer in a large near 1/48 scale. Dependable, sturdy, and reportedly docile, this primary trainer was developed soon after WW II. According to one source the design concept was created during the German Occupation of the Low Countries. The S-11 was successful and exported to Brazil, Bolivia, Israel, Italy and Paraguay Some examples manufactured under license in Brazil (including a tricycle gear version) and Italy. Several examples were reported in civilian registration in the state of Georgia & aerobatic use as recently as 2017.

Rare Post-'S' hardbox issue dated 1960. It shares the same part number and box art with the Pre-S and S issues. The only way to tell is to look at the long side panels for the date and the 'parade of kits' pictured on them, which includes the Whip-Fly series. The box has classic 'Flying Dragon' Richard Kishady artwork and the kit features rotating turrets and propellers, pilot, copilot and bomber figures and "The Flying Dragon" decals. Correctly molded in gloss olive drab and clear and includes. Never started and 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: one part, a main gear strut, has the brace broken off; but the brace is present and included so it can be repaired.

Very early issue from the 1950s with colorful Ray Gaedke hardbox artwork. This is the third issue of this kit for the USA, with added fine rivet detail and molded in silver and clear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions. This kit started life as a basic 1/48 scale model with minimal surface detail, full landing gear, rockets and bombs. Lindberg modified it in the mid 1950s with very fine rivet detail. In the late 1950s it was modified again to a motorized version with an electric motor in the nose and the batteries in the stand. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'.
