Very early and rare Top Flight kit. Carl Goldberg left as Comet's top designer in 1945 and joined Mike Schlesinger and Sid Axelrod in what became Top Flite. This type of design is noted for very high rates of climb and fantastic glides. The kit features die cut parts in balsa and ply, hardware, decals and beautiful full size plans. There is also a great brochure by Goldberg on adjusting and flying free flight gas models. The model has not been started. 1968 issue of the famous tandem light aircraft that saw civil and military service. After Aurora purchased the Comet molds, they reissued the Comet civil light aircraft line. It appears that Aurora may have been inspired by the Comet kits or sales of the reissues, and they produced several more new molds to add to the line. This Skymaster is one of those kits. Since the model was designed new, it has significantly more detail than the older Comet kits. Features all recessed panel lines, full interior with front and back bulkheads, four bucket seats and instrument panel, clear windows and rotating propellers. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Very rare Science Program issue when Revell worked with Nelson Doubleday Publishing as another avenue for model sales. Doubleday placed the Mercury Redstone inside a very nicely made hardcover book sleeve with an internal tray. To signify the special issue, Revell printed 'Made By Revell For The Science Program' on the very top of the instructions. Contains Redstone Booster, Mercury Capsule, Launch Pad, Testing Unit, Escape Rockets and 3 man crew This kit has never been started. It is either still in the internally sealed factory bag or has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

1970s large scale issue for rubber or gas free flight, or easily converted to RC using today's tiny and light servos and receivers. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, insignia, detailed full size plans, building instructions, wheels, hardware, tissue and propeller. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Bagged kit - no box. Box is shown for reference only. The kit does not include Hasegawa decals but instead has a Micro Scle #72-92 sheet for two different F-106 fighters. Kit is well detailed and features external tanks, optional position missile bay doors and a full load of Falcon Aim-4 E/F Air-to-Air Missiles. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including Micro Scale decals and instructions. This high performance follow-up to the F-102 enjoyed a successful and long service life; I can remember seeing them in 'Alert 5' shelters at the Florida Air National Guard base at Jacksonville International in the 1980s.
