The P-59 was the United States first operational Jet Aircraft. However, it was very underpowered and was not fit for combat. This problem was well known, even before the prototype flew. Fantastic kit from the 1950s in an 'excellent' condition box. The classic artwork shows the Nike Ajax blowing up what appears to be a B-17 over an American city. Judging from the fiery blast from the launching Ajax in the background, these two ground crew may not make it away from this missile in time. This is a superb model for that time that still rates well today. Features detailed missile with separating stages, operating control surfaces, operating launcher and more. The launcher is designed to connect other models to form an entire Nike Ajax Battery for the ultimate diorama. Molded in olive drab and white. Very Rare. From the Strombecker science fiction series released with Disney's famous landmark 'Man in Space' movie series. This is an accurate scale kit of the RM-1 Moon Rocket from the motion picture. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Decals have a slight curl but otherwise are in amazing 'near mint' condition. The instructions are 'near mint' as well. The box is graded 'excellent' with like-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no repairs, no price tags, no stains & no fading. It displays better than 'excellent' but is rated as such because there is a light crease at the top center and clear tape residue on the long sides. This kit will only be shipped insured and double-boxed.

First issue from 1958. Little John was a light-weight free-flight rocket that was highly mobile. It could be pulled on its launcher or transported by helicopter. Length was 12 feet long and the warhead was atomic. The Dart was a very early, five foot long wire-guided anti-tank missile with a solid propellant rocket motor. An optical rangefinder was used for guidance. Both models are well detailed. The Dart includes four missiles, one launcher, three stands, decals, one optical guidance unit and a crew of three. The Little John includes a detailed launcher with elevating rails, movable support legs, decals and crew of three. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box actually displays significantly better than the 'excellent' rating but is graded as such because there is a very small tear on the lower right corner on the short side and a small 1/2" x 1/4" tape tear on the lower long side.
