Monogram P-47D Thunderbolt - 56th FG 61st FS Lt. Col. Francis S. Gabreski or RAF No. 81 Sq - Bagged, 1/48, 6838

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: No Box

Sold

Bagged kit with no box. The box is shown for reference only. Perfect builder. This collector stored this and all of his kits in bags because of limited storage space. He was very precise; the canopy is bagged separate to prevent scratching, the small parts are in a zip lock for protection and then put into a larger sealed bag with the bigger parts and instructions. Decals are excellent. 1973 release. Includes markings for both aircraft. Very finely molded and detailed kit with traditional high Monogram quality. Features very fine raised panel lines and recessed control surface markings, detailed cockpit, opening canopy, detailed gear wells, pilot figure, centerline drop tank and two wing mounted bombs. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

LS Kaiten Miniature Submarine Kairyu, 1/72

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG-

Sold

Rare. One of only 8 ship kits ever issued by LS. Dates from the early 1960s. Operating model can be powered by a rubber motor which is included or the 'power egg' that attaches to the underside (not included). It appears to have a sort of automatic diving system - the diving planes are shown to move and there are clearly buoyancy chambers and free flood areas in the hull. Activation of the rubber motor is by the periscope. Kit is nicely done and includes two torpedoes that mount on the lower sides. Inside, the kit is like new. It has not been started. All small parts are still in the factory sealed bag with LS header, the metal parts, glue and rubber band are in a smaller sealed bag with LS header and the upper hull (light blue) and lower hull (red) were never factory sealed. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Sold

Still factory sealed but the seal has drawn the box concave. Has markings for three aircraft; two from the carrier IJN Akitsu Maru in 1944 and one from an unknown unit in Japan. Well molded kit with photoetched parts. The Stella was a STOL aircraft much in the sense of the Fi-156, but it's performance was superior in every way. Horsepower was almost 30% greater and fowler flaps were fitted and synchronized with variable incidence horizontal tail surfaces for dramatic STOL performance. The ship was easy to fly and found favor in all theaters as a communications aircraft. In 1942 7 Stella were placed on the Akitsu Maru and used as ASW aircraft.

Nicely molded kit with clear canopy, full landing gear and display stand. This is a model of the very early YF-102 prototype with the straight (non-area rule) fuselage. Around this time, Aurora issued a series of inexpensive (usually 29 cent) small scale kits that were designed to sell at almost any type of retail location.
