She took part in the first mission of the 8th in Europe, an attack on the marshaling yard at Rouen on August 17, 1942. Kit has many action features: Landing gear extends and retracts - all control surfaces move - wheels and props rotate - bomb bay door opens to show bomb load - turrets rotate.

First issue dated 1956 in the 'S', hardbox. Molded in the correct gloss gray and blue. Elevators, crane and antenna booms moves. Includes airwing with helicopters, A3D Skywarriors, FJ Furys, F7U Cutlass and Banshee aircraft. Inside the kit is like new. It has never been started and all gray parts and paperwork are still sealed in the factory internal bag. The blue parts are still wrapped in factory paper and have been inventoried complete - they were never factory sealed.

LS was famous for superior quality and this kit is no exception. Exceptionally detailed with about 170 pieces molded in rubber, red, silver, chrome, clear, red-tinted clear and black with many metal parts. Builds a full rolling chassis just like the real car. RE140 engine (not included) is hidden in the engine block, and a drive shaft runs a metal gearbox that is hidden in the differential for true rear wheel drive. Removable hood shows detailed motor with ignition wiring. Complete interior. Detailed down to the individual hood straps. Never started. Still factory sealed. This kit is of excellent quality with recessed panel line detail. The model includes all parts to make a KC-135 tanker, E-3A, C-135 or civil 707. Window blocks are included for the three military versions and decals are included for the KC-135 and E-3A. Decals were not included by Nitto for the C-135 or 707. Clear windows are included if you wish to make an early turbo-jet powered 707. This kit contains four clear engine nacelles and a clear fuselage panel. The cockpit is very well detailed with five crew stations, yokes, instrument panel, side panels, bulkhead and radar transmitter. There are four internal jet engines included as well. Also includes optional position crew entry doors, optional position cargo door and cargo floor (for the C-135), detailed wheel wells and more.

1965 hardbox issue. The short service life of many Lockheed Electra aircraft posed a problem for Revell; they had invested in the Electra tooling but the kits were no longer selling. Luckily, the Navy took a long term view of the Electra airframe/powerplant combination and saw a superb ASW aircraft. Revell modified the Electra molds to produce this fine small scale Orion kit. From the 1960s. One of a very popular 16.5 inch wingspan series of World War 2 stick and tissue flying kits. Includes die cut balsa parts, vacuform nose, wheels, plastic propeller, hardware, vacuform canopy, colored tissue, insignia and full size plans with detailed building instructions. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.

Scale Flight Model Company in Bloomington, Indiana, USA was dedicated to releasing authentic reproductions of the finest "Dime Scale" flying model (stick and tissue) kits from the 1930s/40s. Dime Scale models used to sell for a dime in the 1930's, hence the name. They are actually box scale, but as a general guideline, they usually had a wingspan of 16 inches and have simple and light construction. "Dime Scale" models are now a class flown in some competitions. Kit consists of contest grade printwood, contest quality strip wood, machine cut balsa propeller, the best Japanese tissue, wooden wheels, competition bushed nose plug, brass thrust washers, prop shaft, prop freewheeler, FAI rubber strip motor and a copy of a genuine dime scale plan that was used in the 1930s-1940s.
