From 1955(the kit was purchased on 5/20/55). Early, rare, hardbox issue with great Ray Gaedke artwork and swastikas on the rudder. This box is in excellent condition which is most unusual for these early, small boxes. It has superb color and gloss, four solid corners, and the only tape is the remains of the factory sealing tape on the long sides. Molded in correct gloss silver and clear with the 'teardrop' stand base. The decals are correct as well and have the tail swastikas. This issue was short lived as Lindberg quickly removed the offending symbol from the rudder and decal sheet so the kit could be sold in Europe. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Features pilot figure, optional position cabin door, rotating propellers and wheels, optional position landing gear, passenger boarding stairs, full color Swissair decals and Revell 'globe' base swivel stand. The instructions have a Swissair route map and a large photo of a Swissair crew in the cockpit of the DC-7. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. The box has creasing at the top as shown.
