Still factory sealed. The only large scale injection molded model of the record-setting Ocean Liner from the United States Lines. From ex-ITC molds. Full-hull model measures 28 inches long when assembled and includes a solid hardwood display base and a large decal sheet. The SS United States was the fastest ocean liner ever built; her speed was legendary. She was constructed primarily of welded aluminum to save weight. She handily took the 'Blue Ribband' shortly after entering service.

1955 'S' first issue. This is the rare issue with Swastika Kill Markings on the box artwork. Richard Kishady did the famous painting for this kit and originally included German kill markings on the nose of the P-39. Very shortly after this, Revell began to export kits to Europe, but many European countries had banned the swastika. Revell changed the box art to Japanese kill markings, which made it legal to sell in those countries. Very nice kit for that time in near 1/48 scale. Features very fine recessed and raised panel lines, detailed pilot figure and optional position cockpit door and a belly drop tank. Molded in beautiful high-gloss olive drab and clear with the Revell 'Globe' base. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

The plastic itself does not glow in this kit, but it includes a special 1/4 oz. glass bottle of labeled 'Revell Glow In The Dark Paint', a paint brush and special glow in the dark markings. Do not be fooled by the 'Quick Build' logo on the box top - Revell used the 'Golden Hind' molds to make this kit, so there are numerous parts, excellent detail, full sails, rigging materials, rigging instructions, pre-formed rat lines and more. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, paint, glow stickers, paint brush and instructions. NOTE: 5 small parts are a slightly different shade of plastic. They are from another issue of this kit.

The hood opens to display a complete engine compartment and the highly detailed Tuned Port Injection Chevy V-8. First issue hardbox from 1962. This box has, in my opinion, some of the best Jack Leynnwood box art. Jack primarily did Revell artwork, but since he was freelance, he did others as well. At this point, the XB-70 was planned for production, so the kit is called the B-70 and the artwork shows a winter night-time quick turn around of a SAC B-70 while another Valkyrie roars overhead after takeoff. Very large kit with 6 detailed General Electric J93-3 engines, landing gear and clear canopy. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Box would grade much better but has a crease along the bottom 1/4 as shown. NOTE: decal backing paper and instructions have light bug damage. Decals would grade 'very good.' One 'USAF' decal has an age crack. Before using any older kit decals, please see the two articles on this website about restoring and saving old decals.
