Small scale kit from Berlin, Germany. I am unable to find a date, but the kit is certainly certainly old, most likely dating from the late 1950s or early 1960s. Inside the box is a beautiful 1/200 BV-139 molded in gloss silver, clear and blue plastic, an instruction sheet with markings guide, decals for the Nordwind and a blue plastic display base with a formed metal stand wire. The aircraft is accurate and very well molded like a scale model (and not like a toy) and has raised canopy frame lines and recessed control surface outlines lines; the clear propeller discs are in mint condition as are the four spinners. The piece has never been displayed as there is no fading, scratches or wear of any kind. 100% complete and factory-new inside.

This model is from the mid 1960s and is designed for rubber free flight or control line. Includes an innovative system for 'seeding clouds' in flight. Features quality die-cut balsa sheet parts, strip wood and spars, light plastic full engine cowl, die-cut clear windscreen, fully formed wire landing gear struts, finished wheels, rubber motor and plastic prop, covering tissue, a big sheet of superb, full color decal and full size plans with excellent instructions. The kit has never been started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed wax paper bag, and the parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I always considered Sterling kits to be deluxe kits compared to other manufacturers.
