Bagged kit with no box- the box is shown for reference only. 1973 issue of the classic 'Four Star' Kit. Features retracting landing gear, rotating wheels/props, three man crew, optional position door and two survivors in life rafts. NOTE: the aircraft has not been started but the two 'survivors' and their raft have been assembled and painted. Quality of work is 'excellent.' There is no other assembly or painting. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: instructions are quality photocopies of the original. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam.

The famous 'S' kit from 1955 with colorful box art. This large scale (1/108) kit features excellent detail for that time and all features shown in the box art - even the crew members. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions. The Long Beach was built in Decatur, Alabama in 1943 and was one of a fleet of tugs operated by the Wilmington Transportation Company. She had a registered length of 81.1 feet and a beam of 24 feet. Gross tonnage was 146 inches and she drew 8 feet of water. Powered by a 700 hp diesel, the range was just over 3,500 miles.

1974 issue from original Aurora molds. When Aurora's demise seemed sure, a group of Aurora employees split and founded Addar. The Planet of the Apes kits gave them some early issues due to their connection with Aurora. However, they were out of business by 1976. Since this is an original Aurora mold, it is of very high quality and includes the 'bunk bed' backdrop shown on the front. Never started. Older twin cylinder engine from G-Mark. Always stored inside. This engine was gently used and is in excellent, complete condition with the original side mount carb. The interior is well preserved with oil. The pistons tops are very clean. If you remove the plugs, the engine turns freely. With the plugs installed, there is high compression. Both plugs are Champions; one is a V-2 and the other a VG-3. I have no way to test this engine. It came from a collector who, as standard practice, tested and properly adjusted all his engines before storing them.

From the 1950s. With an unusually nice 'excellent+' box with great color. Nicely done kit for the time. Molded in dark blue plastic. The limited first issue is the same part number and in the same box but has no rivet detail on the aircraft. The second issue (this one) does have rivet detail. Has very colorful decals for this unusual and beautiful aircraft. Never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present. Strombecker was very well known for producing the finest pre-carved hardwood aircraft and missile kits, but they had a very short journey into the plastic model field. After making the Sea Dart kit in 1956, they added four more for a total of 5 injection molded aircraft kits. All were discontinued in the mid 1960s. The Sea Dart was a supersonic design that could take off and land from water using retractable hydro-skis. Five prototypes were built and over 300 test flights made. The advent of the super carrier spelled the end of the Sea Dart, although 4 still exist on display today.
