One of a series of popular and desirable metal and plastic kits by Hubley. The metal castings are very nicely done and detailed. Features cast metal body, rumble seat cover, frame, hood, engine, suspension and more, many injection molded parts including wire wheels, roof, headlights, interior seats and more. Includes real rubber tires. Features steering front wheels, full rolling chassis with engine, exhaust, suspension and drive line just like the real car, removable hood, complete interior and more. NOTE: the rims have been pressed into the tires. There is no other assembly and zero painting. The small metal parts are still in the factory sealed bag and the plastic and larger metal parts have been inventoried with all present. Includes decal sheet and instructions.

From the 1970s. Very well detailed kit has 143 parts. Includes metal body, chassis, hood, engine and other detail parts with injection molded details, clear parts, and a large tree of chrome plated parts. Features a full rolling chassis just like the real car with excellent engine detail, complete exhaust and suspension, working steering, removable hood, flexible radiator hoses, rubber tires, chrome spoke wheels and working worm-gear steering. Has full interior detail with very clear thin windshields and special interior side panels. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions. In the 1930s Packard was the style leader in America and a beautiful, fast status symbol. Packards were not the most expensive, but were the most desired cars. The 1930s Packards are seen as the high point of the brand.

Still factory sealed but the seal has damage and splits. The later 'light weight' box shows storage damage also. 1974 issue of Aurora's 'Super Detailed Museum Model with Plated Parts.' Done in a big 1/16 scale, this kit and the other 'American Classics' (previously released as the 'Old Timers') represented a significant leap forward in quality for Aurora. The Bearcat builds up a rolling chassis with transaxle, suspension, exhaust and drive line detail and includes a detailed interior with separately molded instruments. Molded in bright red, black and with brass plated parts and real rubber tires. Aurora was renowned for turning a profit and for keeping expenses down. In researching new kit subjects, they came upon a forgotten jewel - the Hudson Miniatures line of 1/16 scale wooden kits. Hudson had discontinued this line due to lack of sales of wooden kits. But the Hudson models were second to none in quality, research and documentation. Aurora was quick to realize this and used the research and layout from these kits to create the subjects for this 'Old Timers' series. It is fortunate for us that they did, because in most cases this is the only injection molded kit of these rare and classic early automobiles.
