Classic Cold War kit in large 1/40 scale. My Cyrillic is not what it used to be, so I believe this is a 'Yunyj Tyechinik' ('Young Mechanic') release and not the earlier MZMPI. This company succeeded MZMPI (which was the first kit manufacturer in the USSR) and continued till a new name was introduced in the mid 1970s. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Kit does not have decals, which is no surprise. Many Yunyj Tyechinik kits did not have decals, while others did. Yak-18s have been observed in service with the North Korean air force as recently as August 2018.

The FE-8 first flew in 1915 and was powered by a Gnome rotary engine. Fe-8 pushers equipped #40 and #41 Squadrons of the RFC in 1916. About 300 were built, but it was soon outclassed by the Albatros D-III.
