From the 1970s. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, detailed full size plans, printwood, wheels and canopy material, tissue and propeller. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing stripwood and rubber motor. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts present. NOTE: the owner was a professional draftsman who drew some neat assembly guide lines on the plans. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Poor box but the kit inside is in 'factory-new' condition. Rare and highly detailed from original Taimei molds. These are unique and accurate kits. The original internal frame structure and details of the aircraft is built from injection molded plastic. When complete, it is covered with a very strong fabric which is included. The result is a very realistic aircraft. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags with instructions and covering material. Instructions and covering material are both in 'near mint' condition and the parts are mint in the bag.

1955 'S' issue. Very nice kit for that time in near 1/48 scale. Features very fine recessed and raised panel lines, detailed pilot figure and optional position cockpit door and a belly drop tank. Molded in beautiful high-gloss olive drab and clear with the Revell 'Globe' stand. There has been no assembly. NOTE: this kit has minor, neat painting. The pilot's hands and boots and the propellor have been painted. You can strip this off with DOT 3 brake fluid, spray oven cleaner or other tested, safe plastic stripper. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes 'excellent' condition decals and instructions. Richard Kishady did the famous painting for this kit and originally included German kill markings on the nose of the P-39. Very shortly after this, Revell began to export kits to Europe and many European countries had banned the swastika - so the box art was changed to Japanese kill markings, which is this issue.

1979 issue from early 1960s molds. Rare and large 1/12 scale model kit that measures over 16 inches long when built. Nicely detailed for that time and features working steering, detailed engine and opening hood, detailed front and rear suspension, underpan with full exhaust, complete interior, opening doors, opening trunk and more. Molded in red, clear, chrome plated plastic, tan, black and with real rubber tires. The kit has never been started. The kit is now complete but NOTE: read carefully. About half the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags. The bags that were opened were inventoried and four parts were missing; I had those 3D printed and they came out great and are a perfect fit. Includes instructions.

Still factory sealed. Early issue in the shorter and narrow box. Large Soviet helicopter with a unique gondola below the cockpit for the crane operator. It is very nice for a KVZ kit with 'good' detail. Molded in white, silver, clear and black. Includes full color large decal sheet with Aeroflot markings. KVZ was the logo used by this East German kit manufacturer from 1969 to 1973. During this time, some fantastic Cold War kits were produced of Russian Aeroflot Airliners and Military Helicopters and Aircraft.

From about 1967. Hardbox issue. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro added an excellent line of well-known and not-so-well-known life-sized (1/1) scale pistol and rifle models to their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This one is a 21 inch long copy of the Miquelet used in Spanish Morocco between 1610 and 1875. The lock was made in Spain, while the barrel and the ornamented stock were made by the North African and Arabian craftsmen.
