Solid hardwood kit - not balsa. Measures 14.25 inches long when assembled. Features 90% precarved hull that needs only finishing sanding, beautiful factory-cut hardwood base, ply and hard printwood, dozens of cast metal fittings, tapered hardwood masts and yards, extensive insignia sheet, metal nameplate, full size plans, assembly instructions, rigging instructions and rigging material. There has been no assembly. The fittings are still factory sealed. The parts that were never sealed have been inventoried with all others accounted for including insignia, flags and instructions.

Rare and easily the finest large scale Duesenberg model. This very large car was one of the first supercharged production cars and cost $17,000 in 1933. The single-carb 420 CID straight 8 put out 320 hp and moved the car from 0 to 100 mph in 17 seconds. The model features a highly detailed engine with spark plug wires and a removable hood. The rolling chassis is assembled just as the real car and includes full suspension, exhaust, drivetrain and gas tank details. The front wheels are steerable. Suspension components are cast metal and the exhaust headers are stainless steel. The top and trunk can be removed. Molded in black, white, clear and chrome with real rubber tires. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed (1 black parts tree and body) have been inventoried complete including instructions.

Still factory sealed. Large scale kit is 10.25 inches long when built and is very nicely detailed with 110 parts with a display track. Features locomotive, tender, boiler, all valves and linkage and track display stand. Molded in yellow, steel gray and light blue. The world's first locomotive was the 1804 Trevithick, but it took another 25 years to make a locomotive suitable for carrying passengers or freight. The Rocket was the winner of an English competition sponsored by the Liverpool and Manchester Railroad. She pulled 3 timer her weight at 12.5 mph then hauled a passenger coach at 24 mph. The Rocket stimulated other locomotive growth and the railway network throughout Great Britain.

The master was researched in depth and built to museum standards. In making the molds, the silicone was de-aired in a vacuum chamber; then the resin was pressure cast. This method makes for virtually air-bubble-free parts with flawless detail. Scale fidelity and historical accuracy are top-rate throughout. Requires assembly and painting - photo shows assembled and painted model. Includes museum quality resin castings, metal castings and a large fret of photoetched brass parts. Can be built waterline or full hull. Includes very good pictorial and text instructions.
