Comet was a very famous manufacturer of flying stick and tissue as well as solid aircraft models. What is less well known is that Comet produced HO equipment during the HO boom of the late 1930s/1940s. This is an excellent kit from that period. The kit features precut and shaped wooden roof, underside and frame, metal ladders, grab irons and other small parts, and heavy embossed and pre-decorated cardstock sides and ends for ART. Features very well drawn full size plans. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including instructions.

Since this kit is from the Medford, OR era, it is likely from the early to mid 1950s. The plastic is still in excellent, flexible condition and is not warped. This is rare for early 1950s injection molding. Also includes milled hardwood roof, hardwood floor, correct cast metal trucks, sealed parts packet containing metal parts, wood and metal stock, complete decals and full instructions. For the advanced collector. This is Monogram's first car kit, number R1 and made in 1946. This kit was found in the stock room of a long-closed hobby shop and is in factory-new condition. The box is in exceptional condition, as is the kit inside. The Hot Shot Jet racer kit consists of a pre-carved balsa wood body with the grill design completely pre-cut, a sheet of printed wood parts, four rubber tires, a vacuform clear canopy (that has not turned yellow), axles, color decals and full size plans/instructions including details on how to power the car with a CO2 jet engine. I fondly remember building this kit in about 1974 and it looked very nice. Features several sheets of printwood, three sizes of strip wood, scale wooden props and hubs, plastic flying props, balsa blocks are required, fully carved and finished main and nose wheels and thrust buttons, dowels as required, clear window material, full size patterns for control surfaces and nacelle to fuselage fillets, window cutting patterns, insignia sheet, full size plans, instructions and tissue.
